Fornication, The Robber of Innocence.

Fornication The practice of engaging in immoral sexual activity, but especially that which is outside the bounds of a marriage covenant.

the act of sexual gratification with ones self or with others.

Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

God created flesh to glorify him and not itself.

Adam and Eve was in perfect peace in a garden of perfection. Knowing no need, no desire, no hunger, no spiritual battles, but there was a devil in the form of a seducing serpent that spoke words of enticement into the ear of Eve.

A perfect place of innocence but just one failure to obey the rule of God led to sin being released on the face of the earth.

Sexual desire was released in that moment. Shyness and shame accompanied that sexual desire.

They hurried to cover their nakedness something that seemed to never be a issue became a problem in the hearts and minds of the creation of God. Something he created to worship him had been now polluted with the stain of the knowledge of sin.

As time has gone by perversion has been spoken into countless young minds over the course of generations. Some have been led into prostitution, some into pornography, others an object of high school fantasies bragging about being or having a body count.

Created in perfection, robbed of innocence, broken by perversion.

What might start in the darkness of your bedroom, an innocent search on a phone, laptop or tablet turns into a desire that comes upon you at the most unusual time and the result leaves you feeling guilty, dirty and sinful, but somehow it comes back again and again to rob you of innocence.

You find yourself asking the questions

What have I done?

What am I doing?

Whats going to happen to me now?

God are you still there?

The devil designed this to keep you by shame from the counsel of the wise.

Adam and Eve hid from God and you and I keep our sexual addictions hid in the darkness of our minds, failing over and over and either becoming a lover of the sin or depressed because of our lack of self control.

Pastor is it really that big of a deal. It don't hurt anyone, its just me and my mind. The sad truth is that as it becomes more comfortable so will we and before long its not just you alone, and then life takes a turn that is so hard to come back from.

For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:

With the power of the Holy Ghost we are able to resist the devil and rebuke the spirits of lust and perversion that try to whisper into our lives.

Staying away from photos, videos and erotica is the protection for the saint of God. We can’t ask God to shield us while willfully putting our eyes in front of the things that emphasize our problem.

Marriage is a Godly, Holy union and we should bring ourselves to the person we pledge our future too as whole and complete as possible. Physically, emotional, and spiritually whole. If you can’t say that at this moment get into the alter and bring your body, spirit and mind under subjection to God. God can make you whole. You don’t have to be a number in some devils body count.

Hell may have stolen your innocence but heaven can restore the peace and comfort of a future with him.
