After using Haggai to rebuke the exiles for seeking sanctuary in earthly endeavors to the neglect of Yahweh’s temple, God Almighty empowers them to obey the Lord.

In Haggai, The the Lord’s Word comes through the prophet calling sinners to seek the presence of God, but in the Christ, the Word of God became flesh, dwelt among us, and died and rose for our sins that we might be with him forever.
