The path to Victory
If you look at today’s politics they may often talk about “What is the path to victory” You can see analyst on a digital TV with out the charts and graphs. You may see all types of statistics on if this person won this swing state how would the outcome be.
Then if you turn to a different TV station you may even see totally the opposite.
Many times we denote victory in a way that is based on facts and figures. We base victory on what we can see. We base victory on how the opponent lose.
Let’s dive into the scriptures.
Joshua 1:1–9 KJV 1900
1 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying, 2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel. 3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. 4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast. 5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. 6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. 7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Prior to this first chapter in Joshua, the Lord was dealing with Mose and told him about the promises.
Deuteronomy 34:4 KJV 1900
4 And the Lord said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.
Deuteronomy 34:7 KJV 1900
7 And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.
God can show you the end before the process. He may tell you something prior to you even starting it.
My divorce of first marriage
Prophesies that went forth
We understand what God is saying but do we actually believe it will happen.
There is a path to victory.
You have to trust God. Whatever your path may be, you have to trust him.
Sometime it will take you quoting the scriptures
Point #1
Philippians 4:13 KJV 1900
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Meaning: Victory is possible because Christ strengthens us in all situations.
It’s the enemy’s job to keep you off balance.
To make you lose your focus on the promise of God.
It’s the enemy’s job to have you fear the path to get to that victory.
It’s the enemy’s job to have you frustrated and bent all out of shape.
It’s the enemy’s job to make you give up.
See it wasn’t Moses getting old that cause him to die but it was him not entering into Cannon that cause him to die.
We let things get in our way. We look at the size of the promise and say “nah, I don’t see how that is going to happen.”
We limit ourselves by speaking it into existence. “If only I could have a two bedroom house, If only I could get a basic car to take me back and forth to work…
The words “If only I” will get you to the point where you will miss your blessings altogether.
We have to be careful on putting limitations on our dreams and aspirations. We have to be careful to put limits on God when he has told us that He owns the cattle on a thousand hills.
Point #2
Romans 8:37–39 KJV 1900
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Meaning: Believers are victorious over all circumstances through God's love.
My path may be different that yours but we are headed to the same place. God may give you the short cut route but I may have to go through a few more things to get there. Our path to victory are totally different.
When we face challenges and obstacles, we have to know that there is nothing that can stop us.
Point #3
Isaiah 54:17 KJV 1900
17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; And every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
Meaning: God guarantees victory and protection for His faithful servants.
Look at Joshua,
After the death of Moses, God told him,
6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
I started to name this Bible study “When We Fight, We Win”
But I got to thinking about the scriptures and the Lord said in His word that He will fight all our battles. He is the one that we can place the burden on to resolve all of our issues. He is the one that
Pray
I believe that You are the Son of God. I believe that You came to Earth. You lived and You died on the cross.
You shed Your blood. They buried You and for three days You remained in the grave, but on the third day God raised You from the dead, and today You are alive forever more.
Jesus I believe this and I receive You as my Lord, and as my Savior. I ask that You forgive me of my sins and with that I thank You Lord for forgiving me of all my sins.
Thank you Lord for saving me. Right Now I Am Saved
