What does it take to be alive for Jesus? When we find ourselves in a physical health situation what do we do? We go to the doctor or if we can't get into the doctor we go to urgent care or if its really bad we go to the ER. Does any one know what this is?

When we are out and away from medical help this thing could very well save our life. Don’t have to be a doctor or a nurse or even a first responder to use. It is fool proof if you need it it will go off and if you don’t it wont. So if we use this for our human life safety on earth, what can we use for our spiritual heart stoppage?

You see we need connection. with Jesus Christ whether that is in church fellowship, or in reading the bible, or in song. We can jump start our spiritual love for Jesus in many different ways. But just like our physical health after the jump start we need to do things to maintain good health or we fall right back into the same health issues. We as Christians have the same issues with our spiritual health. We hear a song or meet a friend that invites us to church and we get excited, we go to church every week read our bibles, listen to k-love on the radio, then we miss a Sunday then a few more then it’s right back to sleeping in on Sunday. When we get to studying the word we need to realize Jesus is in us always no matter where we are with him. let’s look at Paul's question in

You see we have Christ in our spirit from the day we are born. We as Methodist call that Prevenient Grace. This is necessary because God told Adam all the children born after his original sin will be born with sin but by prevenient Grace they will not have to die from his sin. You see from day one God granted us his grace so we could start our life with a clean slate. But then we start to stumble in our own wants, but we need to remember in

You see God gives us grace and lived in us before we ever took our first breath. So why do we make it seem so hard for us to allow him to show through us? in this scripture Paul did not say “I live in a Christ-like way” or even “I glorify Christ through my behavior.” No he said Christ…Lives in me. clearly showing us that Christ lives in his believers. You see believing in Christ should be a no brainier he has been in us since day one. Because he lives in us, Christian life is not a matter of trying to behave like Christ. But allow him to live in and through us. You see in

That’s Paul’s prayer for us. You see Jesus Christ is living in our spirit. But from there, He wants to spread into to our inner most being, that is into our heart, and includes our mind, emotion will and conscience. the lord does not want to visit like a guest at a motel. He wants our heart to be his home, where he has the freedom to live and move. That is when God can live through us in our every action. In Colossians it says “To whom God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mysteries among Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory”
That’s Paul’s prayer for us. You see Jesus Christ is living in our spirit. But from there, He wants to spread into to our inner most being, that is into our heart, and includes our mind, emotion will and conscience. the lord does not want to visit like a guest at a motel. He wants our heart to be his home, where he has the freedom to live and move. That is when God can live through us in our every action. In Colossians it says “To whom God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mysteries among Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory”
God promises when we allow him to move from our spirit to our heart the saints will line up and praise and sing hallelujah. You see we do not have to wait to do great things for God until he returns for the second coming of Christ He wants to be living in and through us today and everyday we get the privilege to take another lap around the sun. By allowing to let Jesus to shine through us is an awesome way to make disciples of men for Jesus Christ. We talk about all the thing that are in the bible, but if we allow Jesus to live and move through us everything else will fall into place. Reading the bible, praying, helping the needy, feeding the hungry, sharing the word, and guiding the little children. are all possible if we allow Jesus to live in us. Really if we think about it the work is being done by Jesus we are just along for the ride. We talk all the time about how we need to give everything up to God. Do you realize we can never get in trouble or mess anything up if we allow Jesus to work through us? When we do it will all work out perfect. When things do not go right, we are not allowing God to work through us. Again God is in our spirit from day one, he is in everyone, from the day they are born. God wants everyone to make it to heaven. but we have to allow him to live and move through us. My question today is
