VICTORY OVER THE WORLD

INTRODUCTION:

THE QUESTION TODAY IS WHY PEOPLE WHO HAVE GIVING THERE LIFE TO CHRIST IS NOT EXPERIENCING VICTORY OVER THE WORLD.

I BELIEVE IT IS BECAUSE EITHER THEY HAVE NOT TOTALLY COME OUT FROM THEM OR THEY HAVE NOT TOTALLY SUBMIT THEMSELVES UNTO GOD.

1 JOHN CHAPTER 5: 1-5 GIVES US THE OUTLINE ON HOW TO HAVE VICTORY OVER THE WORLD.

WE MUST BE BORN OF GOD.

OUR FAITH.

THOSE WHO BELIEVETH THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD

A. WE MUST BE BORN OF GOD.

1 John 5:4 “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”

WHAT MAKES US VICTORIOUS OVER THE WORLD, IS THE LIFE OF GOD THAT LIVES IN US. AND THAT LIFE IS THE HOLY SPIRIT.

IT WASN’T UNTIL THE HOLY SPIRIT ENTER INTO OUR LIVES THAT WE PROCESS THE POWER TO SAY NO TO THE WORLD AND YES TO GOD.

WE WON BECAUSE OF OUR UNION WITH CHRIST AND OUR ADOPTION INTO THE FAMILY OF GOD.

OUR VICTORY BEGIN THE MOMENT WE DID NOT DENY HIM, BUT OPEN OUR HEART TO HIM.

TO OVERCOME OR TO BECOME VICTORIOUS OVER THE WORLD, WE MUST WIN AT LIFE OR ACCOMPLISH THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH GOD CREATED US.

WHEN GOD CREATED US, HE MADE US IN HIS IMAGE, SO WHAT COMES WITH THIS IS POWER AND DISCIPLINE.

WHEN YOU BORN OF GOD YOU HAVE GOD’S DNA AND YOU HAVE NO PART IN THE WORLD BECAUSE WHAT’S IN YOU IS GREATER THAN WHAT THE WORLD WOULD EVER BE ABLE TO OFFER YOU.

YOU HAVE A GIFT IN YOU THAT ONLY GOD CAN RECEIVE IT BACK TO HIMSELF.

B. THEN IT’S OUR FAITH.

FAITH REFERS TO THE BELIEVERS FAITH IN GOD AND HIS SAVING WORK THROUGH JESUS CHRIST.

WHAT GIVES US THE VICTORY OVER THE WORLD IS OUR TRUST IN GOD. WHEN WE TRUST HIM, WE WILL ALLOW HIM TO GUIDE US.

GOD WILL NEVER LEAD US TO EVIL, BUT TO TRUTH.

IF YOUR FAITH DON’T MEASURE UP TO HIS WILL, THE WORLD WILL DEFEAT YOU EVERY TIME.

BUT YOU NEED TO KNOW THAT THE SAME FAITH THAT SAVED YOU HAS THE SAME POWER TO MAKE YOU VICTORIOUS OVER THE WORLD.

HOW THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED IS THROUGH OBEDIENCE.

YOU CANNOT SAY YOU HAVE FAITH AND DON’T HAVE WORKS.

FAITH IS A ACTION WORD AND IT IS PRODUCED THROUGH LOVE FOR YOUR BROTHER’S AND SISTER’S, NOT THE WORLD.

1 John 2:16 “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”

YOU WON’T UNDERSTAND WHAT REAL FAITH IS UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN TRIED, BUT STILL REMAIN FAITHFUL TO GOD AS HE IS FAITHFUL TO YOU.

John 16:33 “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

C. MY BELIEF THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD.

WE HAVE THE VICTORY OVER THE WORLD THE MOMENT THAT WE CONFESS THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD.

THIS GAVE US POSITIONAL AND, SPIRITUAL VICTORY AT CONVERSION.

OUR FAITH IN JESUS AS THE SON OF GOD MAKES US OVERCOMERS.

I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHICH STRENGTHENETH ME.

WHAT IS IT DO WE BELIEVE ABOUT THE SON OF GOD?

ONE HE DIED

TWO HE WAS BURIED.

THREE HE WAS RAISED FROM THE GRAVE WITH ALL POWER IN HIS HANDS.

1 Corinthians 15:55–58 “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as you know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”
