INTRO: Pastor David, I usually stand over here, thankful for the opportunity to preach and Pastor Evan’s leadership—not sure he’s earned a Sunday off, grateful he gets to worship with his family.
We’re continuing our series on the Book of Daniel titled “Kingdom Convictions.” I’m so thankful that we’re in this series right now. I think it’s the word we need from God right now in the time and place in which we find ourselves. Our prayer is that God will show us what it looks like to live as a kingdom citizen while we are here on earth, and I think we’ll have a better vision for that through this steady diet of Daniel. As a matter of fact, when we were working through possible names for this series, I suggested we call it “The Daniel Diet,” but we were worried we might get into legal trouble for that.

Main Idea: As Kingdom citizens, our first response should be to look to God for wisdom in every situation

Kingdom citizens don’t put their trust in the world’s solutions (2:1–12)

Kingdom citizens believe in and rely on God’s wisdom and power (2:13–18)

Kingdom citizens respond by worshiping the King, no matter the outcome (2:19–23)
