The Seed Just Grows
Pepper seeds annoy me, but I’ve found a trick…
Jesus tells his disciples a Parable that Mark doesn’t explain to us. It has three components: The sower, the seed and the harvest.
We have experienced the life of the sower living out our Christian lives.
The seed has its own nature. It is alive, even though we cannot see it.
The harvest will come. Persecution, opposition, mockery, ridicule all will be leveled against the kingdom of God, His Church, her congregations, her schools, her preachers and her members, but all these will grow, none the less, because the seed is good and it is alive.
The assurance of growth is because this seed fell from the stalk of Jesus’ cross and as sure as he is risen from the dead, that seed is alive and will grow. Christ is risen from the dead. We are going to win.
