Jesus has a dispute with fault finding Pharisees, but the fault they find in Jesus is not by God’s standard, but by “The Tradition of the Elders.” Jesus exposes the flaw in thinking that we can somehow improve God’s design. He shows how the “improvement” robs from parents.
God has designed marriage and family for our good.
For the good of the wife
For the good of the husband
For the good of the children
Man has made a substitute system that comes up short and so men, women and children are all suffering.
His design is a reflection of his love, dignity and grace. As a society we have reaped generations of fruit from following God’s plan. We can still return to it, defend it, and enjoy its fruits.
