The Revelation of Jesus Christ
Welcome to West, Denver Bible Church. It's good to be with family and that includes all family from the Lord is so good to have everybody in the house of the Lord today. And what a privilege it is to be always to be able to stand behind this pulpit and proclaim, the excellencies of the Lord. And that is, it is such a noble task. And yet, he the Lord uses unworthy men to do so. And so it's very humbling to be able to, to be with you and to be able to work through the scripture and then hopefully represent Christ in a way that is exalted him and him alone. And so, if you're new here, I think everybody's family here today. So it's just good to be with with y'all and so just really quick. We really don't want to be good stewards with our one year anniversary celebration coming up. And so we need to get a head count and we'll be asking just because we want to make sure that you had like a couple weeks ago. I ordered some pizza didn't get enough and we want to make sure that doesn't happen again this upcoming it truly is special for us to be able to break bread and then the time that we'll have together after is going to be a time where there's going to be your hear the leadership's hard and then you'll be able to share your heart and just praise the Lord for what he's done for this past year and then also look ahead and see what has a church where we headed. And you know what what does the the needs of the people in it within the ministry here in? What can we be better? And just get together as the body because we want to make sure that we are doing our parts as Believers to enter, to be able to offer salvation. And to as many that would be able to come not to have a big show. Go to respond Church, anything like that, but to help individuals have the opportunity to be able to know Christ, that's what we would love. And so let's make sure that we talked to John or fill out the the the Q R to see if you are always get the two mixed up quality control. This is our quality control right here. So today we're going to pray for the sick go before the Lord, to ask for the blessing, I'm over his word on there. Some individuals that are mailing within the body. And so, let's go before the Lord and asked not only his Blessing over the word, but we lift up our brothers and sisters as well. Father, we are humbled and we are needy and we are also fortunate to be able to be on this side of Grace. And your word is, his Majestic is without air. It is everything that we need to know you. It's Santa Pfizer us and keeps us. Lord, It's those promises that we read and we internalize that were they begin to take root in our hearts and we trust you and we see you and we know that you're faithful and true to the end. And so we just pray for today's message God, that you would anoint, your word that you would keep her from our Lord. What a what a beautiful passage will be seen today and yet Lord how humbling it is to try and comprehend it. And so we just asked Lord that you would move in our own hearts and our own minds that you would clear our thoughts and you would help us to concentrate on your son. The Lord Jesus Christ. We also lift up the sick in this body Lord, and those who are all those who are sick, those who have physical limitations, those who are seeking answers from the doctors there. So many Lord And we just ask for Supernatural strength, and for your healing power, Lord, according to your will, for we know, God, that you're able to do all things or, but we also know that you give us things to go through the humblest Lord. And so, we just asked you, that you would be with this body Lord in this body, with trust and you for healing and strength to be able to continue to serve you and love you. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen. If you would turn your Bibles to the Book of Revelation chapter 1 and the title of our sermon today is going to be the revelation of Jesus Christ. And I don't know if there's a better title name, then that and I always wrestling, what, what should we call this? And I was going back and forth and there was nothing that was as beautiful as I was just going to say Jesus Christ, but we get to see Christ and we'll see why that was important to this new Church and soul to the seven churches. And so starting a number one, and we're going to go all the way through nine or through a. I apologize. It says, the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his bond servants, the things which must soon. Take place and he sent and communicated it by. His Angel is Bond. Servant John, who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that. He saw blessed is He who reads? And those who hear the words of the prophecy and he the things which are written in it for the time is near, John to the seven churches that are in Asia grace to you and peace from him, who is and who was, and who is to come and from the seven spirits who are who are before, his throne and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him, who loves us and released us from our sins, by his blood. And he has made us to be a kingdom. Priest to his God and Father, to him, be the glory and the Dominion forever and ever. Amen. Behold? He is coming with the clouds and every eye will see him even those who pierced him and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over him. So it is to be a man. I am the Alpha and the Omega says the Lord God, who is, and who was and who is to come the Almighty. I could never do this. Passage any justice. It's a passage that you read in pierces your soul, especially the believer and we'll get into it. Why, and it's important for us to know as a church. And as the church, the global Church, The Universal Church. This is our only hope Jesus Christ. And so we are moving into a shorter sermon series on the Book of Revelation, meaning the three chapters, and we're going to discuss and and we're going to preach through the seven churches but in God's sovereignty before any of us would just jump. Right in to the seven churches. We need to know who the head of the seven churches is first. And so in God's sovereignty, he put Christ his son on display for us as Believers to be able to glean. And look at it before, we would get into the seven churches because it's in our nature, sometimes to be a Martha instead of a married. Sometimes we will see what we need to fix. Lord. And how can we keep on marching and in God's God's already? He says, I want you to see my son first before you have any instruction. And so there's going to be a beauty of just being able to see Jesus Christ these next couple weeks before we get into those churches. And there may not be as much application, but our hearts will be full of joy because we're going to get the exact same message that the seven churches got before they got instruction and correction from the Lord. Although, the Book of Revelation is only 22 chapters will be going through the first three in particular. This series will be based on the seven churches that are Lord addresses. Imagine that the Lord specifically talking to his people. Initially, when we hear about the Book of Revelation, we get fired up because we know that the Book of Revelation talks about the end times and it's really easy to be excited. Why do I get excited? And we should we should want to know how all things end and end in Jesus wins. That's what's important. God knows everything from the past, the present, and the future. And everything has been laid out by God. The only reason we can have a revelation given to us is because God knows what's going to happen. He sees that he's ordained it, he Sovereign. There's nothing that can for his will and if God doesn't know when he has limitations and if he has limitations then he isn't God. So you already know that God's glory and his name is at stake. He knows the future and it's important for us as Believers to know that he does know that he is capable of taking care of his own as well as the universe is. So there's different ways that Scholars interpret the Book of Revelation and we're not going to get into too much of that. We do know that these first three chapters are a little bit different compared to the rest of the Book of Revelation. Some great men have different views, all these men, love God, with something that people wrestle with. And so we're not going to get into the trumpets and the seals and the bowls are the two witnesses, the Antichrist where is Babylon at the Harley, all these things that we normally look at the Book of Revelation, we're going to focus just on the first three chapters. And so there are seven churches that we're going to look at individual each week. We're going to see these different churches and you're going to see that. Some of them we're right on target with what God had given them and what he expected them to do. They were doing and you can we're going to see that the majority of them are starting to drift away and he's going to bring instruction I had to bring them back and so It's important that God gives us a report. There's nothing worse than when you're trying to do something, especially the, you know, that your employment. If you don't know how you're doing, have you ever been in a place like Thursday, how am I doing? You know, and they say, with today's younger people, they need that affirmation, like weekly. They want to have a sit down and do a one-on-one. Hey, how's it going? And with the old school They said, I just need that once a year. There's a difference of the generations. And so Christ is making sure that they have a one-on-one that they do have an evaluation and that way they could grow. And so there is nothing hidden from God's eyes. He sees everything, everything is on display there for bike race, We should strive to be able to do what God has called us to do, and have us to be. Be who he has to be in. So we're going to see that there's going to be some good and bad and there's going to be some instruction and that God is going to search out the heart of his church and will see that right away Within These next the very first church will see an ethicist you're going to see there's is there going to be a heart search right there? And so we know that there's a standard for God's bride, which is his church Any rabbits for him? We have to ask the same question. If Jesus. Examined this church today, what would he find? Where would he what would he see? Where would we eat the things that we're glorifying with? Where would be the things that we need to work on? And not only it goes beyond the church. It goes on to us personally, search me, o God. And that's the beauty of our God is that he doesn't leave us as is and the grace is there to be able to guide us and push as to where he wants us to be. So every Church in Revelation was unique because they were all facing different circumstances. And these churches they would serve as an example for us of what to do and what not to do, and it's Timeless this message for these churches because they are messages that apply to us today. And so thank God for our brothers and our sisters in the past that existed. So they could, they could be an example for us, what to do, and what not to do. The main theme of the book of Revelation is the Lamb. The land that hung on the cross that paid for our sins. He's Victorious and he's set on display for all the churches to look at his glory. He is the main theme as much as we love to talk about how the end is going to unfold. We need to keep our eyes locked on the son of Jesus Christ. And students has to do with trying to figure out all the details of the end times. And without recognizing the main focus, which is Christ. And it's very easy for us to do this as Believers to get sidetracked and we want to know all the details and we should but we also have to ask God to guard our hearts so that we can focus on Jesus. All right, so we praise God for all the details of the past, the current and the future, and his righteous rule that's going to take place and is taking place, currently right now. And also for his Revelation that helps us to see his majesty. What heaven is going to be like that. That's the question. We all have. What are we going to see when we get there? How's it going to be the price of gold is so high here on the earth and yet will be walking on it and that's not the worst. They're the worst is Christ alone. I love the end of the book of John chapter one Reese's. You Marvel at this, you're going to see the son of Matt and that's what every believer has to look forward to to see him and it's humbling as a Believer because we're on this side of Grace. Where in the Book of Revelation talks about the Wrath of the lamb and we don't want to see that ref. We are so grateful that we're on this side and we're going to see why it's important for us to be able to give others the opportunity to be able on this side with us as well. As we hear even now, it should cause us to search our own hearts. Lord, where am I at with you Lord? If you were to appear in the clouds today, Would I be welcomed? And it's beautiful? How God said, everything up even with the Devotion to see her this morning, that just because you see Miracles, doesn't mean that your heart is going to turn to God. There's many that seen Miracles And yet when Christ gave them extrication to follow him, they said no thanks. My tummy is full and I don't thirst any more. Jesus. Thank you. But I don't want to carry my cross. Many disciples left.
So we search our own hearts. God doesn't play when it comes to sin. If you want to dance, you have to pay the Fiddler meaning judgment is coming. And right now it seems like the world is doing whatever they want without consequences. But we're going to see the Slam in Victory and we're going to see the terror of the throne room and we're going to see who he really is. And we're going to see him the way that we should because we are saved and washed by his blood. Once your enemy now seated at your table. All because of the Lamb of God. Before we preaching to the seven churches, we're going to see. Jesus Christ. The way that John the Beloved saw him which was different from John for John or he would have witnessed Jesus Ascent. He would have seen him in his Transfiguration and he would have seen him in his Ascension going back to heaven and we love even at first John worse, is that which we have seen with our own, which we have touched, they seem the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. These big they were with him. They they seen him at the cross, they seen him a couple of them got to see him transfigured before their very eyes but now John is going to see him in full Majesty. He got a sip and now he's getting the big golf. The Route 44 All right, and so we're going to see that and we're going to see it from his perspective, the son of man on earth. Now in his glory and remember, John was able to see him. He was with him all the time. Now he's in heaven and he gets to see him in his full Glory. We're going to see the revelation of Jesus Christ. First, and foremost, before we get into his messages, he's this Chopper sets the tone for the Book of Revelation. You take chapter one away and you're just kind of trying to figure things out, but chapter 1 sets the tone, it is. The foundation for everything that the church is needed at that time. So, it's the way that it should be Christ. Before all things, the three points that we're going to look in today. We're going to see the intro The greeting, doxology. And then we're going to look at the theme song. Let's start off with his first. This first point Again reading verse number 1, the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his bond servants. The seems would soon must take place and he's sent and communicated by his Angel to his bond servant John, who testified to the word of God, and to, the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that. He saw blessed is He who reads? And those who hear the words of the prophecy and he the things which are written in it for the time is near, what is the revelation? What is Jesus Christ? He is the one being revealed to us his wrath who he is before his raft, we get to see him in Majesty. He's going to be the focal points of Revelation. He would be revealed to his people in a way that they would be able to now see and understand who he truly was to see something and not understand. It is very frustrating. You trying to figure out what is that? My brother Sean this morning?
You could see it, but you can't understand. It engines. Be able to understand something but not be able to see it is another challenge. So to have the two together and be Blended to be able to see and understand what you're actually looking at, that takes what the, what you're looking for to where you wanted to be and the saints that were receiving the 7 churches, John is going to show them and they're going to be able to see and understand. This was the last of the books of the Bible to be written. In person. I lean towards. I'm I think another man have different views of this and that's fine. We don't know. But I would say that this based off what I've studied at this took place towards the end of the first century. Some say that this was written earlier in the 60s. When Nero was, was terrorizing Christians. The way we, we learn through 1st Peter, I tend to think that it happened later on in life and it was the last book written, no matter. The view that you have of this book and when it was written, the Church of God would have been in existence for decades, And it would have endured and gone through so many different things. We just spent the last seven months talking about suffering for Christ for your faith in 1st Peter. So they have been suffering literally for decades. They were all. So eagerly, anticipating the return of Jesus himself. The question would always be in their hearts and in their minds when Lord. When are you going to come back? You said you were coming. The disciples told us of what you said. We have gospel circulating when are you coming? Lord and receiving this Revelation would have come at a perfect time because not only with the church's receive instruction, but they would receive a description of the glorified Christ and his ability to show The Authority that had been given to him. Putting ourselves in their shoes, a persecution in pain for what could be 60 years after the birth of the church and hearing and reading the gospels and Epistles to now knowing Christ yet in his glory. Now in Revelation the details would come they would be an encouragement. Not only would they seek rice but they would see the Victorious Christ. What the final outcome including his judgment and his wrath, the new Heaven and the new Earth. The shoe would soon be on the other foot. But when battling persecution scene seems like the the evil one just constantly being under his foot being under his fingers thumb, just crushing the church soon, the shoe would be on the other foot. Soon Christ would be coming back and they got to see what the outcome would be. I think of maybe a young teenager on the day of Pentecost, coming to the Lord coming to worship and then hearing the gospel. Preached then, going back and being part of a church and living through this persecution all throughout your life. Now being a senior citizen and still waiting for the return of Christ. And now you're going to get a detailed explanation of what's going to happen and it's going to build a fire going to add wood to your face already, because you're going to see the glorified Christ, that was some of the things that the church was actually facing. One writer says this the content of the book comes from its author. Jesus Christ yet. Even Christ is not the final author but a mediator for he received the Revelation from God, the Father which God gave him to show. John is the human instrument for communicating. What he has seen by the agency of Christ messenger or Angel through John, the Revelation is to be made known to the Servants of God who comprise the churches. So when we look out these first three, verses we see the order the chain, the command, the link of command, the father, then to the sun, then to the Angels, or the messenger, then to John and then John to all the people. And now what's today John has servant. Will take what was given to him and he would pass it to those seven churches, so that we could read it today and also the church has to read it back then. It's a beautiful process servant used throughout the New Testament to describe those who are so designated as special representatives of the Lord Christ himself becomes a beautiful title of Honor, for God's people here than in the prologue are five links in the chain of authorship. God Christ is Angel his servant John and those servants to whom John address, this book. So we know who was written two. We know why it was written to them. Also, we're going to eat you see that it's not just John with his brand new revelation or it is everything that the Old Testament talked about. And so we see a woman would writer says, therefore, John's book is a prophetic work, which concern, the imminent, intimate and inaugurated fulfillment of Old Testament, prophecies about the kingdom in Jesus Christ. So the Old Testament, we knew that Christ was coming. We knew it was, it was talked about within the law. I was talked about in the historical books, in the Bible, in the Psalms and the prophets talked about the god-man coming, Daniel. We see all these the the the, the davidic kingdom, all these different things and now John is in the same page. He's not doing his own thing. He's not saying all that is done, he is continuing with the Old Testament started, they ported These Old Testament. They pointed to Christ. Now, Christ and come and now there's going to be a second Advent. He's coming back, he came as the lamb and he's coming back as the lion And so what John is going to do is he's going to piggyback on these Old Testament prophets. And so for it to get the, the, the, what you need from the Lord say this is my servant, this is the man that I'm giving it to John, would have had some pool just like Peter at some poor, as we were going through with Peter. I, this is the one that God loved us out of the one who he loved. John was the one to be chosen to receive the Revelation and I love this. Like the scripture says he would be faithful to give all that. He saw, he wasn't trying to keep it. I was talking to some of the other day and they had a little Hidden Gem, a song that they didn't want to share with anybody. They wanted to keep that song, it's like that song was written for them. John doesn't feel that way. John is going to give a description of everything that he saw So we we can read the read the revelations say, we have everything that John saw, imagine the task of seeing the future, and trying to describe what he saw at a time that he saw it. He'd be able to see what everything was taking place. Then they got cars, they got internet. I don't know if you saw that but he was able to look and see. In describing the future because of Grace. He would be able to complete the task, given to him as a spirit. Move through him. In next week, we'll be able to see where he wrote this. Yet seen the transfigured Christ in the gospels and what that simply means is that Jesus Took the disciples to heal three in particular and there he transferred back to what he was in heaven for and so they seem Christ and when they look back he was back in his, in his human form. So he had seen the Transfiguration of Jesus, but now he gets to see him in complete and he's going to write. He was also the disciple whom Jesus loved. And why did he write this? So that the church could be blessed. Obedience is attached to our faith. We know this, for sure. We're not just curious, but we should be doing hers. Is what James towels is 122. So I think of if you're a parent here or an aunt or an uncle, how many times have you said, do you think I'm telling you just to tell you? Christ was not telling us just at Alice in order for us to be able to be blessed. That would be an obedient that would be attached to this. And just like, there's the Beatitudes on The Sermon, on the Mount. Blessed are those who are poor in spirit blessed. Are those who mourn blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness. Blessed are the meek. Those were the sayings of Christ. There's going to be 70 attitudes even within the Book of Revelation. And this is the first one that we see. We are to take heed to the given prophecy as Believers to see what God has given to us. It's not just to say, okay, thanks for letting me know and then not do anything about it. It is to take heed to the message of God. What are you going to do with what I'm telling you? And that is the same for every believer. Is what I'm being told. Is it going to drive an obedient heart? And that is, is what every believer has to do? We let Christ in, he owns us, we are slaves to righteousness now and we want to be obedient not only with our actions, but even within our hearts, we want to be able to say, I love your love. Oh Lord, I love your instruction, I can't do it. If you help me, I'll do it. Lord, give me an obedient heart so that I can be blessed. I don't want to just look at it. You know, as we get older sometimes we're able to go to the swimming pool. We don't really jump in with the kids. We want to be able to jump in and swim in the promises of God. We want to be able to be obedient For readers of Revelation, the time is at hand to make a decision. Are you in? Or are you out? This is my instruction. What are you going to do? Let's move to our second point, which is the greeting and doxology, which is praise to God.
Bruce Flory John to the seven churches that are in Asia grace to you and peace from him, who is and who was and who is to come from the seven spirits who are before his throne. And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him, who loves us, and released, us released us from their sins, who loves us and released us from our sins by his blood. And he has made us to be a kingdom of priests to his God and Father, to him, be the glory and Dominion forever and ever. Amen. John is going to dress starting a force for he's going to address the seven churches with Grace and peace, which was a common greeting. In those days with someone just like we learned last week, a, holy kiss. Grace and peace. What's up brother? Grace and peace to you. And something that they would that they would write the holiday with dress each other. But in this particular case piece also meant a lot more than just saying peace. God bless man. How many times do you hear that blessings, bro? Even in the streets, people who aren't even say God bless. It's just a common greeting, but this isn't just a common greeting because for the church to have peace, there would be blood that had to be in such a half peace from God. Knowing it is sexist to know that there right before God means that there was a precious blood that was spilled to have peace. Does a perfect song today? Your blood has washed away, my sins, the wrath of God completely satisfied. Once your enemy now seated at your table, Jesus, thank you. That's where peace comes from. That's the only reason they would be able to be part of the church because peace was there. The greeting cludes, God, the Father, who is, who was and who is to come. The writer wanted to describe the father's being by including his internal and continuous existence prior to the present moment. Yes, we're always had been there. God never had a beginning. The father was there, the sun was there face-to-face? And the spirit was there and that was when time didn't even exist, he's always been. And he will always be and there is no rival to his kingdom. The seven spirits are reviewed and interpreted differently. My Scholars. What I was most comfortable just reading is there direct from Zakaria Chapter 4, verses 1 through 10? And if you're not familiar, is not by might nor by power. But by my spirit says, the Lord, that portion of scripture. If you look at those scriptures, that more than likely is the 7 Spirits Before the Throne. We look at verse five now. Jesus. Now part of a greeting. And we see Some of his accomplished Works. Think about this the faithful witness. Not just the witness but the faithful witness the faithfulness of God said on display through the sun, Psalms 89 37, not only that, but he's the firstborn from the dead. What does that mean? That means that he's the only one to resurrect from the dead, never to die. Again, that's the king, that's God. That's Jesus Christ. All those that he resurrected in the past, in the gospels, those who have been resurrected in the Old Testament, they they went on to pass away of Christ was the only one. The first born from the dead to be able to rise from the dead by the power of God to never die again. That's what we have coming for us. When we were resurrected, he conquered death, not only that, he is the ruler of the kings of the Earth last Wednesday night. If you were here, we talked about God's already over all the nations and we seen that, even those Caesar might look like he's controlling everything. Guess who his King is? He might not recognize it right now and just like the kings of the the present Earth today. As Americans were worried about who's going to be our next president owned. Oh, that person can't get in. That person has some of that they're going to test me. I understand it, but he's there and he is there kink. Not only that, he loves his people. He's a good god of loving. God, could you imagine if we serve the God? That was mean to us. Oh, God, that we couldn't please know, but he loves his people and lies. He released us from our sins by his blood, that's the price that was paid. That's the Jesus that is set on display. Convert 60, believer. Must remember that. It is, he that makes us into a kingdom of priests. It's his word.
Is us as priests. We've been summoned for Duty. There's no choice here. You can try and run from God but he's going to get you.
It is his work and he calls us to do it and we are his priests. And we, that is the highest order I could serve in any capacity, but to be the Priya Priya and God's Kingdom for you to be a priest in God's kingdom Washed by his blood not fit for service, but called bike race. To be part of his body to be in the shirts to be part of the Bride. And just as we seen last week and 1st Peter, we see the same to him Bedo Minion forever and ever, and there's going to be no leadership hand. There's no baton that's handed. We see that throughout the scriptures. We see the Philistines, we see the Canaanites, we see the Israelites are. We see the Babylonians. We see this Syrian do? We see the Romans the Greeks? Everything is handed up. There's no hand. There's not even a nothing exists to be able to challenge. God's kingdom to him, be the Dominion forever and ever. And that same theme continues over and over and over the Lord Dominion lasting forever. Our third point is versus 78. Which is the theme behold. He is coming with the clouds and every eye will see him even those who pierced him and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over. So it is to be a man, I am the Alpha and the Omega says, the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come the almighty. But now we would know that Jesus Christ is the theme. He is the one set on display. In the confirmation, by John's riding that Jesus will return in the clouds. He's coming, when up to him, he knows what he's doing. There's no I got to do this and in all these details that have him Panic before. I come know, he knows exactly when he's going to come and when he comes every, I will see. It's not going to be hidden. like we we seen in our devotion this morning, God blinds, our spiritual eyes with the physical eyes will be able to see the god-man. This is cludes the saint and The Sinner. The saint will bow in reverence and cry and say he's here. The sooner will squeal Bill asked the rocks to crush them. And this is this is not something that you want to see if you're not right before, God. You think about the expression, even those who pierced them, they'll see. in the tribes of all the Earth, the entire will all that God has called Some say it could be just the 12 tribes of Israel but it's everyone including the 12 tribes of Israel. And then, last but not least, we see him as the Alpha and the Omega, which is the first and the last letters in the Greek. Alphabet, and what that means is it, it's a figure of speech, call the museum, which states the Polar, Opposites the Alpha, and Omega the beginning, and the end and everything in between from Infinity, to Infinity to everything in between, he is. The guy who transcends time, guides the entire course of history because he stand as Sovereign over its beginning and there's no greater title overall, nothing can compare to him. So we see Jesus Christ, and this is only the beginning. I'm sorry for appointive application this morning really quick. The first one is plead with God to help you understand his place in all things. May we be a knob Jesus Christ. May we see this beauty May at humble our hearts. To understand and know that he knows what he's doing that he is God. And that the same ones that love to see him dying and suffering and be crucified. That's not going to stop at the purpose. The second thing is don't grow weary and your anticipation of the return of Christ sometimes as Believers. Hopefully, we should say, this isn't my final Place. Hopefully, we don't make our home in our current Society are God and Idol. But at the same time, we should not grow weary of anticipation of Christ coming back. There was 42 Generations, between Abraham and Jesus. That doesn't mean that there's going to be 42 Generations, between Jesus and his coming back. But it's, it's all in God's timing to have that promise, given to Abraham and then 42 generations to see that promise come to pass. We wish it was right now course if price came back was do it. But his timing is always going to be perfect.
And it is in times when we're waiting, and as we struggle sometimes it's timing, sometimes we start to doubt our face. And you might be the place, right? Right now, restart to say, is this even true? The generations have been waiting centuries different Church ages. They've been waiting for Christ and he has not come back, and sometimes you might be even in a place where you even start to doubt, even his existence. You might say, he was a historical figure, but is he really God? Look at the state of the world today. What's, what's going on? Lord, and you have to understand that when he comes back he comes back. That's when he comes back and until he returns, we have to be busy. We have to give others opportunity to come to this side of Grace. We've got work to do. We've got an assignment from the Lord, we have the Great Commission and we can grow weary and waiting for his anticipation. And we can't just sit here and say, well, he'll come back anyway. We have to do our best to work. While it is day for the night cometh, when no man can work. And so don't grow weary and waiting for the Christ return. And then last but not least, the question goes out. Where are you with your mighty? Is Christ will return today? What would be the verdict if you stood before him? Would you clean to the cross and show the father? That he's my only hope? We know that the scripture teaches that the Way of the Wicked Will perish right now, it seems like the world is on top but it is actually Jesus Christ who was on top and when he chooses to reveal himself, he will so ask yourself or am I right with God?
Do I trust in him for Salvation? Let's pray. Father, we can only hope to look at your son, the way that we should. We are. So depending on the Holy Spirit to reveal him to us, Lord. He is such a mighty God. To be the Alpha and the Omega. To be the almighty to be the one that was and is, and the one in the future forevermore to know that in this Kingdom, there will be no end. To be able to see him set before us Lord, we can't see him. Unless you're with us Lord, we can't see him unless you give us the ice to see in this morning. Lord, we we tremble with fear Lord At His Majesty. We thank you Lord. That this loving God is miraculous Kings, Majestic. God loves us. Sinners Lord, and you washed away, our sins by your blood. The creator of this world. Coming to the world, to bring back his people. You're such a faithful God. And so, we pray that you would come back soon. Lord, but we also know that it took hoarding to your will. So you are God this morning and we just ask that you would keep that spot in our lives, continue to be our God, continue to hold us past continue to help us fix our eyes on Jesus Christ, in Jesus name,
