Thank you. Thank you. I am not entirely sure about the real will live today. I'm not, I'm not feeling. I'm not feeling it. I'm coming off an active, I have not shift, haven't slept yet. Set a reminder for that is with pain around for a couple of years. This would be a bit like the old taxi driving days when I used to drive, or not in the taxi and then get up and speak. Been a long time since I've done this. So, hang on. I could have I could have done if you had it.

Call just loose.

Well, someone has to

Hello, good morning. How are we going?

This fool. Can you see the total? They unforced rhythms of Grace. Anyone who Knows me knows that I'm a fan of Grace and done going talkin about it, occasionally and the big race is. He's, you know what? Maybe I should question, I haven't even reason is yet this bit. Like I said, we could go why off here,

That's my favorite vision. Get it to me, Gracie's. So it's it's like a diamond. Did Spain Cox and its multifaceted, you know, it is to go to all these Shawnee gauges. Sorry to me, it's like these all these different visions of Grace by facets to it to Grace. If anybody's ever read the Wesley's talkin about Christ. Has anybody ever done that? Worth reading about prevenient Grace. I talk about justifying Grace, sanctifying Grace, you know, prevenient Grace to Grace the Go-Go's.

Get, you know, and it's it's like God going before you and not necessarily clearing up. I but you know, like what baby what lead you to him. Yeah, justifying becoming save sanctifying this is really interesting. And, you know, and we often talked about Grace is being, this is more. What today is a bear is Grace is often something that we look for in terms of relief and release, you know, in and sort of Getting to the end of something. Maybe, you know, we're struggling in life and God's grace God's through. There's a guy called pull trip who has talks about the Theology of uncomfortable, Grace with a lot and I when he says God, God will take you where you haven't intended to go in order to producing you. What you could not achieve on your EIN. You know, and you know because sometimes it's just messy. And, you know, things. Don't work out the way we want and we look for Relief and release. But maybe God's teaching is something in the uncomfortable. You're not going to stop.

And you know what size you wanted from. Grace, Philip Yancey. Wrote a book. What's so amazing about Grace? Been the books? It's a good rate, if it's a good raid.

Can you can do like a little be a Prelude to what I'm actually talkin a bad in unforced, rhythms of Grace. And there's an invitation in the Bible. In Matthew, 11, 28, and 30. And that's the first large loose, we read come to me all of you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for. I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for yourself songs. For my yoke is easy and my burden. Is light, you know it's a company thing. When you stop and think that we serve the God who understands weariness and tiredness,

Yeah, God he doesn't merely observe their struggles from a distance but steps into the world into allies and officers, rest. Who's head of Charles Spurgeon? Yeah. Weight rating.

And he said this. What one part of his rest time is not waste time, it is economy to gather gather fresh strength. It is wisdom to take a vacation for like because in the long run, we shall do the mole by sometimes doing lace.

No.

Lockett busy thousand. You know, you want me to look at it. I'll just come off at, do you know, to know, lots of activities. I have to feed a football game in between the two to watch. You know, my grandmother was as to Troy supposed to say, yeah, the guy in fill the right way. If you have to brown and gold copy, they then that's kind of second-best.

You know, it. Where can we get some frogs? Push yourself, too far.

I'm going to do more in trying to achieve more. Today. I want to talk about reminding is that

In Rest In The Quiet Moments, with outside of you with Jesus, we can find to that strength, can be renewed, how hard can be refreshed and their souls. Can be rejuvenated.

Sorry, the first thing we need to do. I think in all of these is recognized and need for rest. You know. Like I said, you know where we live in. There's a costume, push to Cape going to keep striving. and, you know, if you push a bit harder, Oh s***. Out goals will do the things. We think we're supposed to itch shave. but, you know,

That mindset can sometimes. Mavis exhausted and a long way away from the pace that Jesus promises Us in those faces.

Sorry fishing. You need to realize or understand is that? The need for rest. Is it a sign of weakness? And it's not a sign of failure. It's a fundamental part of how we created. It's a fundamental part of Being Human.

yo, we created Where's the need for rest? And I promise you, I have to be so I'm going for sleep. I am weak writing for name for real, we cried for peers of quiet and Stillness and you think about it. It's it's in built into the very rhythm of creation itself. What did God do? 6 days, he created the Earth and then Arrested. The rest cuz he was tired. I think so.

Can you run out of things to do? That's not. arrested to set a pattern for us to show us the importance of taking time, to stop to rest and reflect

As thing in this, we need to note is that we need to realize that the need for rest goes beyond the physical.

Truth about his need time to recuperate and recharge. Their souls also need rest, they need to be refreshed and renewed and in the busyness of life, it's easy to neglect this aspect of rest,

You know, we focus so much on physical needs that we can easily, forget, spiritual spiritual needs as Saul's need just as much rest as their bodies do.

And the third thing I want to say nice little section, is it? We need to consider did race isn't just about taking a break from their responsibilities for me at work or whatever. It's about taking time to connect with God. that passage of Matthew Jesus doesn't just so I come to me and take a break. He says come to me and find rest in you solve the rest of Jesus offers. He's more than just a physical rats, it's a spiritual rest and it comes from being in his presence drawing need to him. And being refreshed by his love. and by his grace,

we also need to know that this rest isn't something. You have to earn. It's not a reward. The good work or good behavior. Thankfully. It's a gift freely given by Jesus in that passage. Jesus doesn't say come to me. All you who have worked hard enough. Open. Good enough. What is he say? Come to me all who are weary and burdened.

It's a gift freely given to us by savior who loves us and wants us to find rest in him.

So as we navigate the business and demands of law makes remember, I need to rest, but remember that it's not the sort of way. This will file, you could have found them into part of Being Human, but remember I need for this goes beyond the physical and then our souls also need to be refreshed and renewed. but remember that it's not just taking a break but about during close to God and remember that it, the rest is a gift freely given by a savior who invites us to come to him and find rest without Souls yeah, the next point I want to bike is about receiving Christ. Invitation to rest,

In the midst of that weariness. Every CC invitation is extended to us. And it's what I love about it. Why I read it anyway. Either this invitation comes not from a place of judgment or condemnation but account from a place of compassion and love.

And it's an invitation that has continued Through the Ages. Yeah, it's as relevant today. As it was when it was given 2000, whatever years ago.

But we must come to cross, you know? Again, the first tells us that Jesus says, come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. This is a promise of rest for those who were weary a promise of relief, for those who have burdened, but he's a question. How do we receive this invitation? How do we respond? Well, yeah, it's actually lost in that very first bit of that verse.

The very words of Jesus come to me. It is a simple and yet profound instruction.

It's not a command to do. More try harder or to push further. It's cool to come to draw an ear. To approach you could call it relationship.

In fact, I did some research on this and I'm getting a absolutely butcher the Greek language here cuz I never studied it. But in the original, Greek text the word use for come is git. So something, like, dautaj and the word apparently is Comparative but it's also an invitation and it's used in other parts of the New Testament to invite people into a relationship and into Fellowship.

Jesus uses the same word when he calls his first disciples come follow me. It's an invitation to walk with him to learn from him and to be in relationship with him.

The second part of the invitation of cross invitation, Is actually. To submit to Christ. Jesus says, take my yoke upon you and learn from me. And what's a yoke? Anyone.

I just got a picture of it. Like a big wooden. Thing, the guys across Big B and beef. I could have actually family my grandfather when he died at the age of 98, whatever. We had a bully quaggin, the 12, b, b, a base that took him around from the chink Apple Cole. Around the corner to the chief of symmetry because apparently, that's how the family moved from Nan Dolly to chinkapin Oak. When he was about six or seven, A lot of snakes.

Family, that took them at two and a half days. I got a friend named Allie to chica poo. What are we doing now? Afternoon baby. Anyway, that's a story from the but basically, the idea is you have to hold the cows in place so that they would together

Jesus is inviting us to take up. His yoke is inviting us to work in unison, with him to move in step with his place and he's Rhythm cuz that's what the yard. Demean. Inline, that is a Nicole to a life of these are laziness. It's a code to a different kind of wood a word that he's done in partnership with Christ and the word. It is fueled by strength, Jesus Christ. And his grace. It's a work that brings rest. Well, Souls even in the midst of what we doing.

Feather falling apart of this invitation from from Jesus is a promise. He says, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls. This is a race that's not it. Is this is not a race that is depended on their circumstances, on our efforts on their achievement. It's a race that is found in Jesus in his gentleness and in his humility. And it's not a temporary relief. Reprieve Amendment reap right? It's a lasting raced, it's a date. So little rest and erase that comes from knowing that we are loved and we accepted and we are enough. Erase accounts being in relationship with Jesus. And from Walking In step with him, some type taking up his yoke.

Now, my phone is on point.

Puyallup.

Scary, isn't it? Resting in The unforced, rhythms of Grace.

Kind of like that phrase.

Is a move to just a Ford. I wonder if he found ourselves standing on the threshold of a promise. The promise of resting in The unforced, rhythms of Grace.

Now, it's not merely a promise. Better than Insurance given to us by Jesus to the insurance. The trains and transcends human understanding and offers a glimpse into the Heart of Jesus.

Is there a Singapore to consider? Is the nature of this wrist? It's not a temporary reprieve or fleeting moment of respite it's a date of biting race that can put them in a night. We'll go through every fiber of their being It's a rest is born out of an intimate relationship with Jesus. Arrested is nourished by his love sustained by his grace.

And emphasize Christ, it's a race. That is not the pain that I have circumstances or have feelings, but it's it's sustained by the unchanging nature of God.

Second that fit don't want us to consider. Is the source of this rest. It's not something that we can manufacture or manipulate, it's not something we can earn, or deserve to give. It's a Divine gift is freely given to us by our savior. It's a gift. It's wrapped in his grace and sealed with his love. It's a gift. He's asked for the taking if only we would reach out in faith. And grab it and receive it. Another Garden for his rating and the things he says he's a goblin army of aw Tozer you said of him.

He says to me to see stuff.

The man who has God for his treasure, has all things in one.

Play Discord. The capsylite, the essence of a, what I'm trying to get through when we have guarded their treasure. When we found out arresting him, when we have everything we need we can have peace in the midst of the storm. Strength, in the midst of weakness and rest in the midst of turmoil turmoil.

It's a part of these. Is, I want us to consider the impact of this rest. It's unnecessarily. Apache side of inactivity or indifference. It's an active state of trust and surrender. it's a state that compels us to lie down at burden, at the feet of Jesus, take a picture of Bryce, it's a state that empowers us to live a life, A fight. A lot is mocked by the fruits of the Holy Spirit, which is Love joy, peace, patience. Kindness goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. It's been awhile.

And then for the Fond du Lac because I want us to understand is the purpose for these breasts. It's not an end in itself but it is a means to an end. It's a means to draw us closer to Jesus to transform us into his likeness and to equip house free service. It's a means to fill us with his Spirit to empower us for his mission and to prepare us for his return.

You know, Jesus isn't a distant and detached diet e. He's not a god whose I'm aware. Uncaring of their struggles. He's a God. Who sees us? Who knows us? And we invite us into his rest. He's a God, who says, come to me, all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest in the incredible when you stop and take a bath. In a world that demands so much for us from us. We have a savior who officers raced in a society that tells us we need to do more and be more and achieve more. We have a savior who tells us it's okay to rest. And not just any race. The rest, All Souls rest in his love and rested. He's Christ and rest in his presence.

Does your go back cuz I got to bed at week this week. Thank Tom to remember to rest in him. Remember to lay down your burdens of these faith and remember to find a strength or Pace in their joy in him.

It's bright.

Father, we thank you for the wood today. Thank you for reminding us of the rest. We can have in you, and if we go to bed at wake help us. Remember to take time to rest in your presence. Help is to lay down your burdens at your feet. Help us to find strength. Peace and joy in you. Ask Ferguson the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

I have a lot of Sunday.

Hey that. When they singing now you come up and laid, it still it still still. That's all right.

Does that mean I'm going to say it?

Surprised cuz I've got no idea what.
