History always repeats itself.

In world war 2 we had several countries align together to try and conquer the world.

Italy by Benito Mussolini.

Japan by Emperor Hirohito.

Germany by Time Magazine’s 1933 Man of the Year, Adolph Hitler.

Now we are seeing the same thing.

Here are three ELEMENTS that make people pass the blame:

I. The Proper Politician. vs.6-7

He wanted to know His district. v.6

6 When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilaean.

He sent Him to Herod’s. v.7

7 And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time.

II. The Pseudo King. vs.8-11

He wanted to see a miracle. v.8

8 And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.

Jesus remained silent possibly because of John the Baptist. vs.9-10

9 Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing. (1 Chronicles 16:22; Psalm 105:15)

10 And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him.

Isaiah 53:7 “He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.”

Herod and his men mocked Jesus. v.11

11 And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.

III. The Unholy Alliance. v.12

12 And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves.

Their relationship founded in Hell.

Their relationship was forged in the world.

Conclusion:

Are you acting like a proper politician?

Are you a pseudo king?

Do you participate in unholy alliances?
