Daniel 1:8 (NASB95)
8 But Daniel made up his mind that he would not defile himself with the king’s choice food or with the wine which he drank; so he sought permission from the commander of the officials that he might not defile himself.

Introduction

As we look at this world today, so many things are going on that are not pleasing to God. It seems like Satan is in high gear, creating every tactic that he can use to try to derail humanity from allowing God to be a factor in our lives. He’s trying to paint images that certain things, that aren’t aligned with God’s Word is alright for us to do as long as society is good with it. The sad thing is that even we, as believers, are beginning to fall victim to the enemy’s traps because instead of speaking up, we allow the enemy to say and do whatever he wants all around us. It’s getting to a point where it is hard to tell believers from sinners because we’re mingling in the same things instead of Standing Our Ground and removing ourselves from anything that is not aligned with God. This morning, we must realize that we can not allow this world to change who we are as God’s children.
