The Positive Impact Of Negative Circumstances

28 We know that all things work together[a] for the good[b] of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose. 29 For those He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers. Romans 8:28-29 HCSB

“Providence” is the idea that there is a benevolent and purposeful ordering for all events of history.

Paul saw that his negative circumstances had a purpose:

He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began 2 Timothy 1:9 HCSB

III. Negative Circumstances Can Inspire Great Rejoicing, 18.

What can I do?

How do I see difficult circumstances in my life?

What trial in my life brought good results?

Do I actually understand the Gospel well enough to share it with others?

I can pray for the opportunity to share it with others.

I can seek opportunities to share the Gospel with others.

I can faithfully step up to the opportunity and make the attempt, praying for the Holy Spirit to lead me as I go.
