Big Idea:

God’s people are to be a blessing, even during suffering.
submission is a public character of the church towards everyone (vv.13-17).

Intro:

Exegesis:

God’s daughters live differently (vv. 1-6).
God’s sons take care of God’s daughters (v. 7).
God’s family is committed to goodness/blessings (vv. 8-11).
God takes care of His suffering family (vv. 12-17).
It is God’s will for us to live this way. When we make us the focus of authority there is a problem. Make Jesus the focus. His love.
Philippians 1:9–10 ESV
And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,

Response:

Power School - check your progress before it gets out of hand. The Bible is a a tool like this (infinitely better). Daily be in it. It’s like a mirror (check your hair/life and fix it).
