Salvation
1 John 5:11–12 (ESV)
11 And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
Notice John says, this is the testimony, which means that there is no other testimony in which we are givent eternal life. John speaks of the testimony that is in each believer (If you don’t believe, you do not have a true testimony. Believers have a conviction of the gift they have received (eternal life) and the source of that eternal is in His Son (Jesus Christ). John is saying that there is no salvation outside of faith in Christ.
Not to long ago, Pope Francis was at something called “Together in Unity and Hope,” Intereligious Youth with Pope Francis, he says, “Every religion is a way to arrive at God,” “each religion is a different way to arrive at God,” and God is a God for all. And if God is a God for all, we are all sons and daughter of God.”
Jesus said in John 14:6 “6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
John 11:25 “25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live,”
Answered Prayer
John 16:24 “24 Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”
Jesus is saying by asking in his name, those who believe in Him have access to the Father, and we are able to enjoy fellowship with Him, now and eternally. We enjoy that connection with Him by way of the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 10:13 “13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”
