Welcome Statement
Whew! We’ve finally made it to the last chapter of this Book Series. We are going to reflect on something the 21st Century church has really struggled to fully realize this week. Since the days of philosophers like Kierkegaard, we’ve had this idea of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Kierkegaard himself called this jumping into Christ’s lap the “Leap of Faith” into the Divine. We know that Christ’s Truth is the ultimate truth, and that anything we come up with is only a weak approximation without his prophetic voice speaking through us. This Absolute Truth, was declared at the beginning of Time, and was already true before then. We go to John 1 to see what I mean

John 1:1-3, 14, 17
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through him, and without him not one thing came into being. What has come into being in him was life, and the life was the light of all people.
And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father’s only son, full of grace and truth.
The law indeed was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

This “word” or logos in Greek, was plainly declared to be Jesus Christ, the word became flesh as it says. But what does this really mean? It means that Scripture was fully realized through Jesus Christ, all of the prophecies contained in the word, the Hebrew Bible, was manifested to be true through God’s incarnation as a child.
