What is a treasure in Heaven?
What is a treasure in Heaven?
Bible mentions “rewards” over and over again
Matthew 10:41 “41 The one who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and the one who receives a righteous person because he is a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward.”
1 Corinthians 3:12–15 “12 Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— 13 each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. 14 If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.”
Hebrews 10:35–36 “35 Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.”
Colossians 3:24 “24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”
Matthew 5:11–12 “11 “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
Also talks of “crowns”
2 Timothy 4:8 “8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.”
James 1:12 “12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.”

Inheritance
Like working for earthly things, working for the Lord returns reward
Honor - like an olympian winning gold at the Olympics; its not the worth of the actual medal on their neck, its what that medal represents
Or like a child getting praise for a job well done from a parent - our reward is not a material thing; its the honor and praise from our Lord Jesus Christ
