Operation Detox

Mark 7:14-23

14 After He called the crowd to Him again, He began saying to them, “Listen to Me, all of you, and understand:

15 there is nothing outside the man which can defile him if it goes into him; but the things which proceed out of the man are what defile the man.

16 [“If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.”]

17 When he had left the crowd and entered the house, His disciples questioned Him about the parable.

18 And He *said to them, “Are you so lacking in understanding also? Do you not understand that whatever goes into the man from outside cannot defile him,

19 because it does not go into his heart, but into his stomach, and is eliminated?” (Thus He declared all foods clean.)

20 And He was saying, “That which proceeds out of the man, that is what defiles the man.

21 “For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries,

22 deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride and foolishness.

23 “All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man.”

The object of this detox is not so much the abstinence of food and beverage, but the cleansing of the various impurities within us that are detrimental to our thought, and desires, and character. And those things that hinder our relationship with God along with living your best life possible.

This inward journey that will teach us to live inside out. We first must detect all those dirty things that paralyze our abilities to operate at maximum capacity.

The truth of the matter is people cant embrace and dont enjoy life because of the unrest on the inside, and what affects us on the inside will affect us on the outside. The cause starts on the inside, but we all see the effects. Makes you ask

Could things be the way they are, because you are the way you are?

That miserable people love making other people's lives miserable. Unhappy people want others to be unhappy.

How do we come to this state? This mindset?

We spend so much time focusing on our appearance that we neglect our development. That we are willing to put make up on a beast and call it beauty.

You dont have to search for the problem, dont have to leave the state to find the problem, the problem resides on the inside.

. Jeremiah 17:9 says, “The heart of man is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked.” That’s the collective heart. Men are wicked. “There’s none righteous, no not one.” We are capable without any outside influences, no teachers, no classes. according to James 1:14, of conceiving lust in our hearts, turning it into sinful attitudes that become sinful acts … deadly sinful acts. Sin works its way from the inside out.

Its not what you Injest but what you Regurgitate -

What we digest is not what difiles us, but its what comes out causes contamination.

Cindy Trimm - Its not about what you are eating, but whats eating you.

In other words i know what you been eating but what comes out. / I know what you been drinking by what comes out.

I aint talking food, but we digest drama, foolishness, bad news, gossip, that when its time to speak, time to edify, time to be used, time for ministry, its a struggle because now we are constipated. All the junk left you constipated, Stopped up. You need a Soul Detox.

Detox - the process of removing toxic substances or qualities.

I mean nothing in church moves you? You need a detox

Everything is more important than spending time with God? Detox

Dont feel bad after doing bad? Detox

Never talk about Jesus all week? Detox

Cant Pray or wont pray you need a DETOX!

In the opening verses specifically verse 8. Neglect - means here to Reject. When you Reject what God says, Reject God ways, Reject God wants, you need a DETOX!

Anything that hinders your relationship with God is TOXIC and needs to be removed so there can be a proper flow.
