To begin with brothers and sisters how to do we prepare our hearts for righteous giving? I think we ought to pray first.believe God second,Have faith that God will see us through, and then Hope to the end no matter what the odds or circumstances try to present to us.

Here’s my morning prayer Dear Lord Father we come before thy presence in the Mighty Matchless magnificent name of Jesus the Christ and we humbly ask for a reconciliation in our community. Father we are godly sorry for our un holy carnal minded actions. Father some of our deeds are wicked wayward and even warped. But we know that you are a forgiving God. Please Lord forgive us of our sins. Lord forgive us of sins of omission commission and submission. Father we have deliberately omitted what you told us to do and that is to love one another as Christ has also loved us. Father we deliberately committed sins and crimes and wrong doing on purpose with the hopes of not getting caught but you see everything Lord your eyes are in every place. Please have mercy on our sinful ways. And then Father finally we have failed failed failed to submit to your Holy Word your will and your Divine way, O God create in us a clean heart oh God renew with in us a right spirit. This is your humbly servant’s prayer in the magnanimous name of Jesus we Pray and the Church said Amen.

I truly believe in the power of prayer. I also believe in godly meditation with supplication. and finally I absolutely believe in the power of praising your way through a situation. And church we need each other to make God’s church be what it’s supposed to be.

So here’s my advice concerning the collections in the church. People are getting ready for Fall Festivals, Musicals, concerts, shows, football games,and when I saw the catholic church put on the fair I knew it was time to talk about fall finances. It’s funny how passing by a fair in October could trigger a deep thought that cause me to research and cause me to reflect back on financial issues. As I’ve recalled, it’s right about now that people start preparing for the big events in the ber months. Fall festivals. September Labor Day, October you got Halloween, In November you got thanksgiving and bayou classic and essence festival, in December I’ve got birthdays to deal with especially Jesus’ Birthday Christmas. For Example: I was a new teacher teaching school and it was almost Christmas and I really didn’t have any presents to go under the Christmas Tree. And I told my wife I don’t know what to do about Christmas.Regardless of how things look now it wasn’t likely that a church would give me something for Christmas for all of my three Children. I prayed about it and said Lord every since I became a Converted Christian a Committed Christian things been harder and harder and I don’t know what too do but our eyes are on you Lord. I fellow knocked on the door and said Rev Allen you preached my moma funeral and I never got a chance to thank you. here’s a few hundred dollars for Christmas. The Lord is Jehovah Jireh The Lord our provider. Then sears & roebuck send us a credit card in the mail that said our credit limit had gone up into the thousands because I had paid off my riding lawnmower. WE had a great Christmas. And the children rode around the foyer den living room kitchen and dining room because we didn’t have any furniture in our new home. People look at my glory now but they they don’t know my story.

God gives us 100% of our earnings ( how ever you get that income) And all God ask for is 10% . True story: It’s like this I bought my daughter some candy and I ask for a piece and she didn’t want to give me a piece of candy. And I took all of her candy from her. She might have been 5 or 6 years old. And I said I bought you the candy and all I wanted was one piece. She started crying.... I said let’s try this again so I gave her her candy back, then I asked her for a piece again… and her social reasoning skills kicked in and she gave me two candies… Then I hugged her and said now that’s a Raymond Allen move. That’s the way I want you to be. I raised my family and taught them the importance of being givers. And you need to do that with your family too. And they’ll grow up paying tithes to the church and the church will stay strong.

In verse 1 Paul is saying Now regarding your question about the money being collected for God’s people in Jerusalem. You should follow the same procedure I gave to the churches in Galatia.

Saints of God you’ve got to prepare your heart for giving. Just like I prepared my young daughter’s heart for giving. Ask yourself this question. If God gave me 100% of my earning, and all He wants back is 10% as fruit which abounds to my account, then why am I tripping?Why am I putting aside money for every thing else but God’s business.

Ok 3x you prepare FUN MONEY. You prepare to go out of town for the weekend, And you decide that the church is going to be okay without your tithe, Well if everybody in the church thinks like that we’d have to close the doors. The church is like anything else you know If you don’t pay the light bill the lights get cut off.If you don’t pay your mortgage the people foreclose on you. If you don’t pay your garbage bill they won’t pick up your trash etc etc etc.

Listen to me people know when they are doing wrong. And sometimes it’s to prove a point. Sometimes it’s to punish people within the body of Christ all the way from the preacher to the usher and everything in between. But God is God and if you’re playing politics with your money, it’s not the best solution.The best solution to your manufactured crisis is to pray and then meet and reason together. The Corinthian church had to be reminded how to send funds to Jerusalem so that Jerusalem could continue to be the center of Christian worship at that time. Even though we now know that they kicked the Christians out of Jerusalem and Rome became the Center of Christian Worship. And Rome is still the Center of Christian Worship today. The Pope is still in Rome.

The word of God says in Malachi 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. 12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

If you make thousands of dollars a week 3x and you have a dream that God will take it all from you in an instant you’ll come in and give righteously. A fellow told me one time Raymond why you giving that church that much money… They paying you to be there!!! I said yeah they are paying me to be there but God is the one keeping me there. Then I back to the Dr and the Dr says I’m sorry Mr Allen but we see a spot and your blood work looks wrong… I just believe that because I tithe and I give to various causes that God makes old cancer behave and leave me alone. That’s my story. and you have your story. Anyway it goes all of us have a story, all of us have a set of truth to deal with. My stewardship is different from yours but we all have to be good stewards in God’s vineyard. Last Paul says to the Corinthian Church As soon as you get money lay some aside because I want you’ll upon the first day of the week to put God’s money aside, Then you don’t have to try to scramble at the last minute. Because the worse thing in the world is too vow to God that you’re going to generously give to the church consistently, then turn around and be an unrighteous giver. The topic today is How to Give Righteously. Lastly it’s a huge sacrifice at first but it’s well worth the benefits in Godly Living.
