READ 1 TIM 3:1-7.

When you picture a pastor, what comes to mind?
A pastor’s number 1 responsibility is to shepherd God’s flock.

1. A Noble Calling

“overseer” - elder/pastor, “desire” - stretches forth
Calling develops over time.
“Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as overseers, to shepherd the church of God, which he purchased with his own blood.” - Acts 20:28.
God calls a pastor to faithfulness.

2. Responsible Qualifications

Celebrity Pastors
Character counts more than other leadership qualities.

3. An Honorable Example

Family, Maturity, Humility
The art of failure
Pride comes before the fall… Humility comes before the glory of God.
