Saying, thank you. I'm going to ask you to write that. Thank you. Okay, as a couple times going out, when was the last time you walked through the door and you held the door open? Because I owe other people behind you at the door. A few, they just walk through and they didn't even know, they didn't even acknowledge you like this walk through the door. Is that happen to anybody recently? Okay, have you ever done it to anybody? Yes, I yes, I said thank you what we talked for like probably happen. So I'm not going to put my hand up because I probably hadn't. We don't say thank you, often enough. We don't say thank you often enough for very simple things, think about whichever of you is the tea maker of the coffee maker. They probably like drinking tea and coffee more often than the other one. Until that properly asking you a cup of tea or a cup of coffee or whatever you drink or whenever you need it. I'm so we don't have to ask about how many sugars you need or do you need milk because we know How many times did we say? Thank you. For the simple things. Look at me, talking about Thanksgiving this morning. If you want to if you want to scriptures the time to tend to some 100 will be coming back to that in a moment. I'm going to stop with a film. That's how many people have seen a film called Invictus. Okay. It's a, it's a, it's a film about the South African rugby team into it is woven the story of Nelson. Mandela and the reasons. This is fantastic, I'm going to I'm going to play the hopefully so I'm just going to play a clip from the film. I did not moments.

I was planning to play b. A b b b. And it would give him what he needed. Can you recite it? You can't hear the words.

Automatically.

I think, whatever.

Adult.

Another Blessing.

You have two minutes of the year is iron shell facts.

I am the master of my fate.

Magical moments when the winds were at there.

I had intended to show you. He wants to capture. It matters. Not how straight to the gates, how to charge.

Another Blessing.

That's not put you into contacts Morgan Freeman.

It's called a number people's attention in places of desperation that poem has invigorated them in these days. Would it matters. Not how straight to the gates, how charged with punishments the scroll. I am the master of my fate. I am the captain of my soul.

How many times do we feel thankful for what we have? Be grateful and thankful the old times in all situations images.

Pulling prison exactly the same situation. I mean, Aaron shines for his savior.

And yet, what did he do? He gave price, he started singing songs the price in prison. Now, I don't know whether that's a place where you be comfortable getting things. You know, it's so easy for us to look up, what we don't have rather than what we do. In fact, I guess that's what consumerism is not be driven by. It's actually more and better and different.

Nothing to do with my son this morning, but nothing specific. I was thinking about it this morning, I realized that the industry that I work in talks about forecasting, more and more and more week through the credit crunch. In 2008, I heard people saying when we get back to normal,

And I don't know whether this would have any interest you at all, but you'll see much of industry has been in over capacity for decades lesbian. The ability to produce more cars in the world even though they're aboard will cost. I'm sorry that for that was his downward price competition and then when the credit crunch hit and lots of automobile, companies had to reset themselves some shut down for months. And that was his language. It said, when we get back to normal, I'm a kind of almost about to go to come ctrl-alt-delete with life. I said, okay, let's reset. It was a moment for Risa and we, as a global, we as a nation wizard will have not got that reset, but there are people. There are individuals, are saying nice things. We live in a world where everybody is trying to persuade us to buy the next one. It just has an exhaust pipe mobile phones. Most of us are probably go to mobile phone and I'll talk to you. I bet you it's less than 2 years old. For most of us alcohol is the cape on persuading us to take the next one, the next one and the next one behind it. Maybe he's rather selfish about more and Bessa. And always thinks, just think about this. On my way ball finds, that should be Cody's account.

How can I say that? Well when is King, Henry VI said how many how many of my how many my citizens live in the county of Surrey? He would send people out into the county of Surrey and they would go in labor, Townsend and come back and they say this is how many citizens you have in the in the end in the county of sorry you can find that out today just by pressing how many citizens in the county of soda and you will get the answer and I see now with the younger generation now actually we don't memorize things anymore. Just press the button on a fine inside, what we just speak to the phone.

My nephew was playing with my wife's car mode off on the other day, in the car, while playing with the job.

And so he started saying things in the phone with oxygen and how far is it to Johannesburg? Exactly.

And it came back and said if he's X number of miles to the place that he lost about me, believe in the world information music.

Psalm 100 says this. Make a Joyful Shout to the Lord. All Ye Lands. Slept a little bit gladness. Come before his presence. With singing know that the Lord he is God it is he who has made us and not we ourselves. We all his people and the Sheep of his pasture and son into his gates with Thanksgiving and his courts with praise and be thankful to him and bless his name for the Lord is good. His Mercy is Everlasting and his truth and jewels to all generations.

So why should we give? Thanks to God, would you lie number one? He's worthy about price. He's worthy of all things. He created the world.

Changes all.

He alone is gone. There is no other God Scripture says many times.

Said no other gods but me he alone is the god. I will go.

These are good.

Any desires to be part of our lives. Three part of our Focus, three part of our attention.

So let's envisage. Now instead of walking through told as hell. In by a person, God has done something for us. How many times have we giving thanks to God? Because he's opened the door for us. How many times have we pried something on the prayer has been answered. I'm waiting on yes, or no, because suddenly something that we decide something, somebody whose relationships will break him down. And now that being restored with with police to Pacific. Jack Black. To the person who responded to a prayer that he's gone inside. Thank you Father. Thank you Daddy. Thank you so much.

Because not only is he a God who we need to give. Thanks for and to What is it called that we need to serve?

Is worthy of service. Weather know what your auntie to two Services. Sometimes, if you got into a very prosperous from the white people come in and I will answer about the way they deliver.

Under other restaurants, you can see why you'd hardly notice the wages of the waitresses food arrives, and things that you need to pair. You run out of water and water appears very, very different starter service. And what happens is that those waiters and waitresses are very attentive to the tables are serving, somebody looking around. The room is something that white people, can I help you?

simple things like the people stopped to put that coats on and do that backs up and so suddenly

just a different level of service B price. They made a big thing of the Lord. And yet humble people like Mary. I'm off to come and serve the Lord. Gently with humility. What's up, you see? Something that has the number of element number. 119 us to be humble when we say, Can I help? Can I assist? No, big deal for us to be faithful.

So that way reliable so people can trust them as they can lean on us?

Would you have the other thing about service, it needs to be active about how I write some things down? These don't sell me some last week do something. But he alone is worthy of service. He alone is God. So all we Central thankful to him for what he's done, thankful to him for who he is. 4 in in Psalm 5 verse Psalm 100 verse Bible, the Lord is good. Describe these nights described his makeup. The Lord is not bad. He's good. What side do we come to him with Thanksgiving and off. Now, I just think about this this way cuz we pray together as a church Why don't we start a prize off this week with Thanksgiving first?

Start with Thanksgiving, but you do realize what you're asking for him to do again, is built upon a foundation of Thanksgiving, is built upon a foundation of Feist is built upon a place where we can. You did it before. I'm asking again for something interesting for 7, so I'm asking for this situation. I'm asking for this circumstance, you heard my prayer. Would you hear my prayer again? As opposed to die. Sometimes I find myself falling straight into asking, God strikes away on his parents and his aunts and uncles, and grandparents, how much more pleasant is it when a child comes and says, daddy or Mommy. Thank you for these folks that you gave me. Would you read it to me?

Probably, can you read the book? Cool braids to the job. That's not a problem. But when it comes with how many times we say things, like, what do you say to a child?

I wonder if we turned around and said, what is mommy or daddy or Auntie do? What do the child would still say thank you?

Robinson. Just what do you say? does for me, Thanksgiving comes from a perspective that says, I am thankful and it's not something that I have to do. As part of somebody gives you a present number at the present. Thank you. It's call. So the process is possibly giving and receiving, but I see it in my car is thankful for. You have given me something and I told you this story before now but it's relevant. I'm speaking in church in Uganda and then we couldn't find to call the taxi. We have to get a taxi and we would like and we drove to the end of the road and then I thought you're going to stop, but then we can be on the end of the road and then we came to the end of the track. And so I thought we're going to stop. We kept on driving and I but now I'm getting excited over the place and I'm looking pretty like that. The service will be uba. Let me come to this clearing in the bush and that these Park Pool and hang in there. A big, big tall, folding 50, 60 people under the tarpaulin Hope Rising Garden worship time. Now, we've already had 17 to be boarding at another time and price with pasta. Now, you have please, please share your heart with us tonight. I preached in my shed and my pride and I was the first thing to do and so I took what I have been given and I had about 30 minutes to preach because I was like them because they'd already been doing it for 2 hours by then I should be down to about 15 minutes and the pasta when I kind of clothes I said possibly you have some more cuz we want some more now I'm not sure that would happen. But I kind of the end of this Nifty. I said bless your heart. Condensed it. Let me give you the rest of it. So I gave the rest then I closed out and try and finish. This gentleman came to me at the end of the service of the Lord is encouraging me to give you this. And he gave me this blanket and it was a threat. It's the kind of thing that you might have in your car to help to move rubbish around and I looked at him and I made it, he had a whole set of things in my head that I so thank you but no, thank you. But the problem I said, no, you keep it. And he kind of said, one time he went away and the pasta took me to one side, makes it safe. You just wrote to that guy's Moments to give some to give and you said, no. What did I say to him? And I I kind of think I went back to be going so I'm really sorry. I can't really receive a. Thank you so much. I had no idea the point. It was not. What was I going to do with it? It was the Lord had told him to give it and I should have gratefully received and sometimes we all given. But because we do not see what he's yet to come. We got it. Thanks, but no thanks. Anybody have done that. I have definitely said, no to presence. When people say I'd like to give you this and then maybe a few weeks or a few months later, I think I said yes cuz I took it. I know it says in the guys, I am reprise together and I apologized and said I'm really sorry. I should have kept my heart open to receiving something from the father through you, but I didn't know what's going to do two to three days later. I was somewhere else. There was someone in desperate need to living living in the bush blanket night. It was simple. But you know what? If I haven't taken the blanket, I wouldn't be able to get to my blanket. Lord.

and sometimes God wants us to give without understanding, he just wants us to give Sometimes he wants us to cave. Without limitation.

I am of the habit of sometimes play some things, which may I will pack things in my bag when I'm traveling and it'll be as the Lord late sometimes.

Last time I was in Nigeria for the tie in the bag, I was going to give it to lie to somebody. I'll be honest with you. I could have tried that I didn't like that much preaching. In this church, I'm going to cut my favorite type to try to join us. In a Skype me at the lion of the tribe with you at work yet. Finished late start at the building that built the walls, but it was a tall cold and it was flapping around in the roof. A few hundred people in this in. This send me finish building preaching in the prophecy.

The one you wear it. The one that's around your neck, like Jesus and I have needs at the count little said, I have need of your tie that you're wearing. I'm sorry. I asked the man came to the front. I took off my tongue.

Yeah, I just meant it was so significantly more different that it was to tell you that I was wearing the tie that I had in my pocket.

because he was, Then I had another time to call. So, it's just a flashlight at the end.

But you can come with me to pack it with me too, and thank you that I can submit myself to you. I am so thankful Even a good time. Somebody went go to Austin's things that we don't want to give away for the Lord is good, and his Mercy is Everlasting.

Let me close out with a couple of thoughts. When is Abraham Lincoln in 1963, the nation with been cool to a time of prayer, the American national recognition history? I'm kind of surprised the president of the United States, but Ibraham Lincoln was that I just want to put up on the screen. I'm going to bring them to you. We happy recipients of the choices bow season.

How many years in prison roster? I hope everything goes well, and we have reserved the same place, and multiplied, an enriched and strengthen us. And we have blamed the imagined in the deceitfulness of our house and invite you over, or intoxicated with a broken success. We have become too self-sufficient, and reserving drops trying to. Not Midas us. Then to Humble ourselves before the offending task and surprise are clemency and forgiveness. It shows you its written hundreds of years ago with me, I have to go and look at it.

We have forgotten, God. We have forgotten all the good things that God has done for us.

I'm so,

I would encourage us to be thankful paper. Thankful in good times, and bad when we have more than enough, but thank you. When we have a little

I have been in situations and pride, and God has provided.

And I think that's an amazing place to fight, but you can sit around a table and a few adults.

Thinking about a pasta friend of mine who said he sat down some people we sent a call to Alton India. We sent the money to wash the car in India times when they were small children and there would be nothing on the table.

I'm just as like a dumpling, a couple dogs, get a couple of times, it was the simplest they finish the prior and within 10 seconds there was a knock on the door and there was people waste food. I want Prime price of North. It wasn't bleeding. Private was not a little bit hungry. Please feed us without expecting pops when I sat down and said, thank you for the food that we are about to receive.

What's the fight spell brother? Giving thanks for that which we do not see giving. Thanks for that the he's yet to come. So, what are we giving Tactical? I'm at White Oak Cliff. Hopefully, this is, how many people remember playing for If by Rudyard Kipling? I'm coming to Perkins Williams Show, whatever guy.

If you conduct yourself, when all them doubt, you make it louder.

You can wait and not be tired of waiting. Don't make me scream your Mustang.

If you can meet with Triumph and disaster, both the same. He held the truth. You've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools and see the thing. You gave your life. And build it up again.

You can make one heap of all your winnings and risk it on one, turn off the news.

Costco, hot tub.

So hold off on that. It's nothing if you. Except the whale that says the math. Hold on. If you want to talk problems,

open canes, lose the common touch.

But not too much. if you can fill the unforgiving minute, 60 seconds worth of distance, Rob.

And which is more.

fantastic time and I just want to ask the question is, if we could be Thanksgiving and the people of Christ How would all world the world that we park? So let me know why the world is our friends or colleagues of influence. If we could be a people as Thanksgiving, if we could be a people of price. But the people I could go on, if you could be my thing, just like Thanksgiving, if we could be a people of Thanksgiving, how would our world?

If every door that we're through, we looked at the person who held the door open for us and say thank you. If every cup of tea, that was given to us, we said thank we look to the person said, thank you. If every male that was good for us, we said thank you.

A simple words so easily overlooked. In that poem. The thing if you want to walk with Kings and keep the common touch reminded me of a story Joel a message on line who run lines building.

He was someone who could like meet with Kings and we business running with loads and emplace 30 second to come in touch. I've had a couple of times now about how he would sit in board meetings will make things back. He was the most senior person in the room. And there will be other people in the room and then the coffee would arrive. You know, that my coffee arrived and is put on the table in the back or put somewhere and everybody is pitching for the cup of coffee.

Let me just take. Someone's got to feel like for somebody to do something. So many times John Longwood do the he will be the first person to say she like for the coffee.

He could keep the Cummins house. He was once driving up in the very big drive to but he's head office and the guy who keeps the grounds was sweeping the road until Rhonda to Daddy's home. The God, my lights out the why and the jump slowed down and went down the window and said I wasn't to to my home to say, get out my wife. I was touching the old to say good morning. Say, Good Morning song. We have to walk with Kings and keep the common touch. We still need to be thankful. I still need to have hops for the full of Thanksgiving. So let me try. All the girl we want to thank you. We want to thank you. For The Ultimate Gift.

Your son who died for us. On the cross of Calvary. Thank you for your son. Jesus. Thank you that he was waiting to go to the cross and die in our place and we might have relationship through him to you. I have me, call them. But thank you, too, but you love us. You never leave us nor forsake us. You're always that you have good things for us cuz you are a good guns and we don't say thank you nearly enough. But today, we all signed, thank you. Since I we are saying thank you Lord. Spell the help of three people open our eyes that we might see in new and different ways. How people are serving and giving to us and we might receive more graciously And be more Thanksgiving in a attitude. I need a language. Help us to be thankful paper. We pray in Jesus name, amen.
