Revelation 19.
Jesus is destroying the evil on the earth
V 1-2
the false church on the earth
the mystery Babylon religion led by the false prophet and the Roman catholic church
the one world religion in place during the 7 year tribulation
have you noticed how the pope today are uniting all the worlds religions
Jesus is going to destroy this abomination forever
then we have a view of the throne room with all the saints gathered round observing
V 3-6
this is the setting for what is next described
the reason for coming to Revelation
The Marriage supper of the Lamb

Galilean Wedding

the father of the groom makes an arraignment with the father of the prospect bride
the son comes and meets the bride
the son now goes home to prepare a room onto the Fathers house for his bride
the bride is making herself ready for the time when the groom comes to take her home
when the father says to the son your home is now finished
go get your bride and bring her home
there is a giant wedding feast lasting up to 7 days
In John 6 the Father in Heaven chooses the bride for His son Jesus
Jesus comes and purchases the bride with His precious blood
Jesus then goes to the Fathers house to prepare a place for her
Revelation 21 10-
this is the place that Jesus is building right now for his bride
when it is finished the Father will tell the Son. “go get your bride and bring her home”
1 Thessalonians 4:13–17 LSB
But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.
So, after Jesus snatches up and brings us home there will be the wedding feast
19 V 7-8
this feast is so spectacular that John when he saw this in his vision
I think he was just overwhelmed with the lavishness of the whole thing
V 9
blessed are those who are invited
Go to our scripture for today Luke 14 14.
Resurrection of the righteous
someone at the dinner exclaimed V 15
this is the context of what this man is exclaiming
Now Jesus is going to tell these men a parable

The Banquet

V 16
there are 2 invitations to these lavish banquets
1st a invitation to the Banquet but no date or time
2nd when the feast is ready the servants will go out and tell the people to come now
V 17
But all made very bad excuses why they could not come
V 18-20
the man said blessed are those who will eat in the kingdom
but Jesus is telling a parable of people who when invited made excuses why they could no be there
from the beginning the Israelites were to be apart of the Kingdom
but they sinned
prophets invited them to Join the kingdom
but they killed the prophets
the the Father sent His Son to invite them to the Kingdom
But they killed the Son
so the Feast master says

Go Invite Others

V 21 -22
the leaders who rejected the invite to the Marriage supper of the Lamb are rejected by The Father
now go to the castaways of society an bring them in
but there is still more room
V 23 bring those on the outside /The gentiles , the nations
compel them to come in
give them the gospel
go to the least desired people
go invite them in to the great feast
we as Gentiles should not be puffed up against these men who rejected the invitation
Romans 11:17–20 LSB
But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became a partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree, do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast against them, remember that it is not you who supports the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” Quite right! They were broken off for their unbelief, but you stand by your faith. Do not be haughty, but fear,
V 24
the ones that were supposed to be there have for silly reasons will not be in the Kingdom
these men and a lot of the generations following
have rejected their Messiah
consider yourself blessed that we have been given the opportunity to sit at the table.
are you going to sit at the table?
are you positive that you are sure you will be there when Jesus comes for His bride?
behold today is the day of salvation
