This is the most important thing to happen on behalf of our lost and dying world. The fact that Jesus shed His blood for us means that we can be saved!
Let’s focus on four simple WORDS in Luke 23:33: “there they crucified him”

It was an awesome place.
Where His blood was shed.

Where justice was met.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Where we can be saved.
Colossians 1:14
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Where we can stay on the right path.
When the born again believer plans on staying camped at this cross they stay in God’s camp!

Who are these people? They are sinners in the hands of an angry God!
Hebrews 10:31
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
What does Jesus think of them? v.34
“Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.”

Jesus took the punishment for the entire human race.

Jesus took the punishment because He loved us.
Unconditional love.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Only a sinless Saviour could pardon us.

Only a substitutionary Saviour could pardon us.

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
