Psalm 86:11b (NKJV) Unite my heart to fear Your name.
The rich man has a divided heart. While he desires to be with God, he thinks that somehow he and his possessions will get him there. Following Jesus stores up treasures in heaven
Jesus diagnoses his problems:
1. He does not recognize human nature.
2. He does not recognize his nature.
3. He has a divided heart
It’s not just money that people divide their heart with:
Pride and Fame, Power, Relationships, Beauty, Youth

Matthew 6:33 (ESV) But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
