Sources of Information
Sources of Information
How do we know what we know about the ancient past and God’s activity?
Obviously through the Bible.
The Scriptures
The Scriptures
The bible is a unique collection of books that we believe were inspired by God and were written by men.
21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
We refer to these books as Inspired Scripture.
Because we believe these books to be inspired we also believe these books to be inerrant.
That is: Absolutely true in all that they teach.
Inspired Scripture is therefore completely authoritative to the Christian.
And so using scripture the christian can know the truth about whatever is taught in scripture.
The Purpose of Scripture.
The Purpose of Scripture.
Scripture has a very important purpose:
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Scripture is our authority on Salvation.
The Apocryphal Writings.
The Apocryphal Writings.
Next to scripture there exists a collection of various writings, some of which may have been written by biblical writers themselves, BUT are not universally regarded as Inspired Scripture.
We refer to these writings as the Apocryphal books.
Cultural Knowledge
Cultural Knowledge
These books are actually a lot more important that many people think.
Why?
Let me tell you about something called Cultural Knowledge.
Cultural Knowledge refers to information that which is known, understood and believed by all within that culture.
Example:
“Please connect the bluetooth device to my phone and air drop me the files”.
This sentence makes perfect sense to you. You know about this wireless form of communication between digital devices known as blue tooth and you know that large files can be shared almost instantly using Air Drop technology.
But this sentence would have made absolutely ZERO sense 100 years ago.
Now im sure that 100 years ago there was a cultural knowledge that everyone knew, understood and believed that we today no longer have.
This highlights the importance of some of these writings.
You might have heard of them, you might be able to name 1 or 2 but i would not be surprised at all if none of you knew anything about them at all.
Now, since they are not Scripture so what if you no nothing about them?
There are 2 answers:
From a salvific and righteous life through Jesus Christ point of view, they really dont matter.
However, from a biblical comprehension point of view, they are highly beneficial.
Why?
Here is the issue:
Every single NT Christian from Jesus to John not only knew these writings, but they understood them and all of them actually believed them.
These books, in addition to the Scripture of the Old Testament created a cultural memory that the whole NT assumes that its readers: Know, Understand and even believe.
That is a bold claim.
The evidence remains that repeatedly in the NT God references and even quotes these books “as if” what they say is actually true.
Note: This does not mean that they are inerrant or inspired, it simply means that the bible assumes that we know , understand and believe them to be true (if not inerrant).
Many of these books detail various aspects of Israel’s History and serve as historical accounts of what happened between the Testaments.
However there is one particular book that we will be acquainting ourselves with in this study.
Note:
We are NOT equating this book to scripture.
We are Acquainting ourselves to it in the same way every NT Christian was acquainted to it at the time.
This is:
The Book of Enoch.
The Book of Enoch.
The Book of Enoch is quoted many times in the NT and has had an interesting existence with regards to whether or not it should be in the bible.
So initially it was regarded as scripture.
The Epistle of Barnabus which is an ancient letter written by Barnabis of the book of Acts regards the Book of Enoch as Scripture.
The Early Church Fathers such as Athenagoras, Clement and Tertullian all regarded the Book of Enoch as Scripture.
And even to this very day is part of the Ethiopian Orthodox Churches bible.
-
Note:
Do not be concerned.
The purpose of Scripture is to equip and instruct us in good works and righteousness through Jesus Christ.
Not a single Salvific doctrine hinges on any part of the Book of Enoch.
-
But, having said that: The book of Enoch powerfully explains and sheds light on many modern bible mysteries that were not at all mysterious to the Christians at that time.
14 Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints,
15 to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”
5 By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
19 by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison,
20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
4 For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;
5 and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly;
Here is what i want you to notice about these references and quotations from the book of Enoch:
The are said and referenced as if all who read the NT know them well.
WHICH THEY DID.
Breakdown:
Breakdown:
In this Study we have 3 categories:
1: Inerrant Scriptural Facts from the Bible.
2: Accounts/Stories universally known, understood and believed by all Christians at the time.
3: Speculation.
Process is as follows:
1: Lay the inerrant Foundation given by Scripture.
2: Overlay that foundation with the book of Enoch
3: Speculate on the possibilities.

Part 2
Fallen Angels
Fallen Angels
Life on Earth
Life on Earth
The first book of Scripture, the book of beginnings that lays the foundation for all that will follow is the book of Genesis.
Genesis tells us about how life on earth began.
Chapters 1-5 tells us of God’s Creative work, the fall of humanity and the expansion of human civilization.
However in chapter 6 we have a nuclear bomb of Revelation after Revelation.
We have the devastating truth:
5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.
7 So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”
What follows is the account of a flood that basically destroyed all life on earth.
Like the cross divides the world between the Old covenant and the New Covenant, the flood divides the world as well.
The period before the flood is called the Antediluvian World.
The period after the flood is the Postdiluvian World.
Diluvian simply means flood.
Question: What happened that caused God to wipe out all life on earth?
Question: What happened that caused God to wipe out all life on earth?
1 Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them,
2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.
3 And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”
4 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
Let us get this from Scripture:
The sons of God lusted after human woman, took on some physical form and even had offspring with them.
These offspring were giants.
-
Excuse: Sons of God means Seth and daughters of man means Cain.
The Hebrew phrase Sons of God is always and only ever used of Angels and Daughers of men in Hebrew is “Bat-Adam” from Adam, Seth was from Adam.
-
The Purpose of the Flood was to wipe these Hybrid giant beings off the face of the earth.
All this we know as true from Scripture.
Now, lets us aquatint ourselves with Enoch.
Now, lets us aquatint ourselves with Enoch.
Enoch is a real person. He was Noah’s great Grandfather and along with Elijah never died but where simply taken up into Heaven.
18 Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and begot Enoch.
19 After he begot Enoch, Jared lived eight hundred years, and had sons and daughters.
20 So all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years; and he died.
21 Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah.
22 After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters.
23 So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.
24 And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.
25 Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lamech.
26 After he begot Lamech, Methuselah lived seven hundred and eighty-two years, and had sons and daughters.
27 So all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years; and he died.
28 Lamech lived one hundred and eighty-two years, and had a son.
29 And he called his name Noah, saying, “This one will comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord has cursed.”
All of this is Scriptural Fact.
-
Now let us turn to Cultural Belief.
Enoch 3:1-14
1 And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters.
2 And the angels, the children of the heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: "Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men and beget us children."
3 And Semjaza, who was their leader, said unto them: "I fear ye will not indeed agree to do this deed, and I alone shall have to pay the penalty of a great sin."
4 And they all answered him and said: "Let us all swear an oath, and all bind ourselves by mutual imprecations not to abandon this plan but to do this thing."
5 Then sware they all together and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it. And they were in all two hundred; who descended in the days of Jared on the summit of Mount Hermon, and they called it Mount Hermon, because they had sworn and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it.
6 And these are the names of their leaders: Samlazaz, their leader, Araklba, Rameel, Kokablel, Tamlel, Ramlel, Danel, Ezeqeel, Baraqijal, Asael, Armaros, Batarel, Ananel, Zaqlel, Samsapeel, Satarel, Turel, Jomjael, Sariel. These are their chiefs of tens.
7 And all the others together with them took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go in unto them and to defile themselves with them.
8 And they taught them charms and enchantments, and the cutting of roots, and made them acquainted with plants.
9 And they became pregnant, and they bare great giants, whose height was three thousand ells: Who consumed all the acquisitions of men. And when men could no longer sustain them, the giants turned against them and devoured mankind.
10 And they began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish, and to devour one another's flesh, and drink the blood. Then the earth laid accusation against the lawless ones.
11 And Azazel taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them the metals of the earth and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, and all kinds of costly stones, and all colouring tinctures.
12 And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they were led astray, and became corrupt in all their ways.
13 Semjaza taught enchantments and root−cuttings, Armaros the resolving of enchantments, Baraqijal taught astrology, Kokabel the constellations, Ezeqeel the knowledge of the clouds, Araqiel the signs of the earth, Shamsiel the signs of the sun, and Sariel the course of the moon.
14 And as men perished, they cried, and their cry went up to heaven.
So Enoch explains a bit more.
According to this account not only did the fallen angels (which are called watchers) have offspring with human woman, but they also revealed, taught and instructed humanity in “sacred” knowledge.
This demonic teaching included the teaching on how to practice abortions!
Enoch 68:17-18:
The name of the fifth is Kasyade: he discovered to the children of men every wicked stroke of spirits and of demons:
The stroke of the embryo in the womb, to diminish it
Watchers is a biblical word for angels that we see used in the book of Daniel:
13 “I saw in the visions of my head while on my bed, and there was a watcher, a holy one, coming down from heaven.
-
We also see more about the Nephalim.
They were indeed huge and they were served and worshiped and feared by human beings who they would eat, interestingly too is that they also fornicated with animals and had aborted their own children if they wanted to.
This fits the biblical narrative perfectly because a trait of these giants was to eat flesh and drink blood and after the flood God specifically told Noah:
1 So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth.
2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be on every beast of the earth, on every bird of the air, on all that move on the earth, and on all the fish of the sea. They are given into your hand.
3 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs.
4 But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.
-
Another Biblical Reference to these events:
If angels can indeed be tempted by woman, it would be important for Godly woman to “cover” themselves.
In 1 Corinthians Paul speaks very strongly about praying with head coverings.
Saying that a woman who prays must have a symbol of authority hat she belongs to another.
The reason Paul’s states this:
For this reason the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels.
When the angels produced offspring with humans the result were giants known as Nephalim.
But Enoch also says that some angels produced offspring with animals that were giant ferocious creatures called Naphil and Eliyo.
Let us read some more:
The Watchers have their own families with humans and also with animals, and those that were defiled by them give birth to Giants.
These Giants begin to grow to massive sizes, and become full of greed and corruption.
They kill many dragons and the sons of Cain worship them for protecting them.
The children of Cain are no longer able to sustain the Giants with their offerings of vegtables and grain so the Giants turn on them and kill them and begin to eat them.
The Giants develop a taste for blood and begin eating any moving thing including each other.
The Watchers teach some of the secrets they were appointed over to keep from the sons of men.
The Giants imitate the sins of their fathers, and take for themselves wives and animal mates, and they beget Naphil and Eliyo.
God seeing all this wickedness, sends Enoch to declare to Shemhazah and the fallen Watchers that they will be soon punished for causing the earth to be corrupted.
We have loads to look at:
Fallen Angels called watchers. Giants called Nephalim and other giant creatures called Naphil and Eliyo.
We will get to the Giants in just a bit because the Bible itself has much more to say about them but let us start painting a picture of speculation so far:
Speculation and connecting the dots:
Speculation and connecting the dots:
Speculation 1: Human history as we read in Genesis began at what we call The Ice Age.
Speculation 1: Human history as we read in Genesis began at what we call The Ice Age.
The Ice age did not cover the whole earth.
The equator was lush and green.
PICTURE
It is the opening of the heavens rain and melting of the ice that supplied the water for the flood.
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
Before the flood humanity was enslaved by these Fallen Angels and in particular their giant offspring.
History:
All around the world we find made structures of both incredible scale along with impossible craftsmanship that dates to the Ice Age:
1: Gunung Padang - Indonesia
2: Great Pyramid of Cholula - Mexico
3: Göbekli Tepe - Turkey
Many more!
Each one of these advanced civilizations disappeared after the flood.
These ancient cultures whose monuments we find today are the remnants of these Nephalim centers of worship.
-
Speculation 2: Dinosaurs are more than they appear to be.
Speculation 2: Dinosaurs are more than they appear to be.
We also have a very interesting Speculation regrading the Napoli and ElIto - the offspring of Angel and animal:
Life on earth as God created it makes sense. A zebras stripes help it camouflage in a herd while a cheetah spots help it camouflage in the grass.
No matter what continent you go to the animals that live there all seem to “fit”.
However, there existed on earth creatures that a) Are NOT mentioned in the creation account and b) Are somehow mentioned in every single ancient human document.
The offspring of the Angels and Animals.
At all these ancient sites there are depictions and statuses of terrible beasts...
PICTURES
What if these creatures looked like great terrible lizards… Dinosaur.
Part 3:
Part 3:
Giants
Giants
The Bible tells us that Angels fornicated with human woman and produced Giants.
The flood was to rib the world of these giants.
However, the bible tells us something very interesting:
4 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
We do not know why or how but according to SCRIPTURE somehow some giants survived the flood.
Notable among them the bible mentions groups of people that were descendants of the Nephalim:
The Amorites were a people of Nephalim decent.
9 “Yet it was I who destroyed the Amorite before them, Whose height was like the height of the cedars, And he was as strong as the oaks; Yet I destroyed his fruit above And his roots beneath.
10 Also it was I who brought you up from the land of Egypt, And led you forty years through the wilderness, To possess the land of the Amorite.
The Emim
10 (The Emim had dwelt there in times past, a people as great and numerous and tall as the Anakim.
11 They were also regarded as giants, like the Anakim, but the Moabites call them Emim.
The Zuzim
20 (That was also regarded as a land of giants; giants formerly dwelt there. But the Ammonites call them Zamzummim,
21 a people as great and numerous and tall as the Anakim. But the Lord destroyed them before them, and they dispossessed them and dwelt in their place,
The Rephaim
11 “For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of the giants. Indeed his bedstead was an iron bedstead. (Is it not in Rabbah of the people of Ammon?) Nine cubits is its length and four cubits its width, according to the standard cubit.
And the best known:
The Anakim
33 There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”
Why are the Anakim the best known?
Because Joshua killed most of them yet a few escaped by fleeing to Gath.
21 And at that time Joshua came and cut off the Anakim from the mountains: from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, from all the mountains of Judah, and from all the mountains of Israel; Joshua utterly destroyed them with their cities.
22 None of the Anakim were left in the land of the children of Israel; they remained only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod.
A very famous giant came from Gath and was a descendant of the Anakim:
4 And a champion went out from the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, from Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.
But we are getting ahead of ourselves.
The “Real” reason fro the conquest of Canaan.
The “Real” reason fro the conquest of Canaan.
When Moses was telling the people what God wanted them to do in the promised land look what God said:
1 “Hear, O Israel: You are to cross over the Jordan today, and go in to dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourself, cities great and fortified up to heaven,
2 a people great and tall, the descendants of the Anakim, whom you know, and of whom you heard it said, ‘Who can stand before the descendants of Anak?’
3 Therefore understand today that the Lord your God is He who goes over before you as a consuming fire. He will destroy them and bring them down before you; so you shall drive them out and destroy them quickly, as the Lord has said to you.
Descendant of who?
The Anakim, the giants.
Proposal:
Proposal:
What if the conquest of Canaan was God’s way of destroying those Giants and their descendants who escaped the flood?
Evidence:
Without a doubt a very difficult reality that we have to contend with is the fact that God commanded Israel to drive out some nations and totally annihilate others (including the killing of their children.)
52 then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, destroy all their engraved stones, destroy all their molded images, and demolish all their high places;
Notice all they had to do was drive them out.
However, of others God said:
3 Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’ ”
But look closer at the passage:
The nations that God commanded to be annihilated where not Canaanites in general but specifically the Amaleks living in Canaan.
Why?
Because these were the descendants of the Niphalem!
Part 4
Part 4
Demons
Demons
Now let us turn our attention to Demons.
Demon play a major role in the NT.
Over 60 times the NT references demons.
One of our biggest challenges in this area is modern tradition.
What is tradition?
Traditions are human beliefs that are handed down.
We have many traditions about the kingdom of darkness that we sincerely believe, yet have zero biblical support, we even have strongly held traditions that CONTRADICT the holy scriptures.
Lets begin:
What are demons?
What are demons?
The bible has what appears to be a surprisingly little information on demons considering their frequency in scripture.
What the bible says plainly about them is that they are Evil or unclean Spirits.
1 And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.
That is straight forward. The next question is much bigger:
Where did they come from?
Where did they come from?
One of the traditions, that are probably believed by most Christians today, is that demon are fallen angels.
The issue with this belief is that it is just a tradition - nowhere in all scripture does the bible say that demon are fallen angels.
In fact, this belief contradicts what the bible says about fallen angels.
In fact, not a single Christian held this belief for over 1000 years!
I will show you what the NT writers and Christians believed about demons.
-
Why does the belief that demons are fallen angels contradict scripture?
We have seen that the fallen angels came and bred with human beings.
What does the bible say happened to these fallen angels?
What does the bible say happened to these fallen angels?
4 For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;
According to God Himself, the fallen angels, with the exception of Satan, are all currently locked in chains of darkness awaiting judgment.
So if demons are indeed roaming around right now, how can they be fallen angels?
Next point:
Angels have the ability to manifest a physical body.
We see this repeatedly in the OT like with Abraham and the 3 angels who came to him.
Even in the NT we are told that angels can manifest in human form:
2 Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.
This is completely different to what Jesus Christ taught about demons.
Jesus Teaching on Demons
Jesus Teaching on Demons
Jesus Taught that demons are disembodied evil spirits who have no physical body and seek to possess the bodies of others, whether human or even animal.
43 “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none.
44 Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order.
45 Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.”
Notice: Demons without a host are in a constant state of unresting torment.
This is also why the demons begged Jesus not to cast them out of the man, thus taking away their vessel, asking rather to be cast into the herd of pigs.
28 When He had come to the other side, to the country of the Gergesenes, there met Him two demon-possessed men, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no one could pass that way.
29 And suddenly they cried out, saying, “What have we to do with You, Jesus, You Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?”
30 Now a good way off from them there was a herd of many swine feeding.
31 So the demons begged Him, saying, “If You cast us out, permit us to go away into the herd of swine.”
32 And He said to them, “Go.” So when they had come out, they went into the herd of swine. And suddenly the whole herd of swine ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and perished in the water.
These teachings totally reject the belief that demons are fallen angels.
So if they are not fallen angels, what are they and where did they come from?
A better questions:
When Jesus gave his disciples authority over demons, what did the disciples, like Peter believe demons to be?
When Jesus gave his disciples authority over demons, what did the disciples, like Peter believe demons to be?
The most common Hebrew word at the time of Jesus for demons was:
Tamunefal
Tamunefal is a compound word, meaning its 2 words joined together.
Tamu - One who is dead or buried.
Nefal - Nefal, where have we heard that word before?
Yes, the Nephalim! - Nefal means giant.
So what are demons in the original languages of the bible:
Demons are the disembodied spirits of the dead giants.
This is what every NT Christians understood and believed.
If we look at the book of Enoch again
Chapter 15:8-9
.And now the giants, who have been begotten from body and flesh, will be called evil spirits on earth, and their dwelling-places will be upon the earth.
9. Evil spirits proceed from their bodies; because they are created from above, their beginning and first basis being from the holy watchers, they will be evil spirits upon the earth, and will be called evil spirits.
-
Justin Myter
But the angels transgressed this appointment, and were captivated by love of women, and begat children who are those that are called demons;
Athengoras
These angels, then, who have fallen from heaven, and haunt the air and the earth, and are no longer able to rise to heavenly things, and the souls of the giants, which are the demons who wander about the world
Tertullian
In what manner demons, the offspring of evil angels who have been long engaged in their mission, have laboured to turn men aside from the faith
Lactantius
When, therefore, the number of men had begun to increase, God in His forethought, lest the devil, to whom from the beginning He had given power over the earth, should by his subtilty either corrupt or destroy men, as he had done at first, sent angels for the protection and improvement of the human race; and inasmuch as He had given these a free will, He enjoined them above all things not to defile themselves with contamination from the earth, and thus lose the dignity of their heavenly nature.
He plainly prohibited them from doing that which He knew that they would do, that they might entertain no hope of pardon.
Therefore, while they abode among men, that most deceitful ruler3 of the earth, by his very association, gradually enticed them to vices, and polluted them by intercourse with women.
Then, not being admitted into heaven on account of the sins into which they had plunged themselves, they fell to the earth.
Thus from angels the devil makes them to become his satellites and attendants.
But they who were born from these, because they were neither angels nor men, but bearing a kind of mixed nature, were not admitted into hell, as their fathers were not into heaven.
They are the wicked spirits, the authors of all the evils which are done, and the same devil is their prince.
These contaminated and abandoned spirits, as I say, wander over the whole earth, and contrive a solace for their own perdition by the destruction of men.
Therefore they fill every place with snares, deceits, frauds, and errors; for they cling to individuals, and occupy whole houses from door to door, and assume to themselves the name of genii; for by this word they translate demons in the Latin language.
Here is my point:
Only withinj the last few hundred years years has the beliefe that demons are fallen angels existed.
The history of the church is the belief that demons are the disembodies spirits of the Nephalim who drowned in the flood.
Do we have any biblical support for this?
I believe we do.
In the account of the demoniac we read earlier, the demons entered into a herd of pigs.
Being now found in a weak animal body in the presence of Jesus what do the demons do?
They acknowledge their judgment by drowning themselves in the waters - as was their first judgment in the flood.

Spiritual Warfare Application for All Four Parts
Spiritual Warfare Application for All Four Parts
1. Understanding the Enemy and the Battle
1. Understanding the Enemy and the Battle
Each part of this study emphasizes a critical component of spiritual warfare: understanding the true nature of the enemy and his operations throughout history.
From fallen angels and Nephilim in the Fallen Angels section, to their post-Flood descendants in the Giants section, to the modern demonic forces in the Demons section, we see a consistent thread of rebellion against God and corruption of His creation.
For effective spiritual warfare, it is essential to recognize that these spiritual enemies have been at work since the dawn of human history.
However, they have consistently been judged by God and remain subject to His authority.
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
This study highlights these powers as tangible entities, fallen beings with malicious intent against God's people.
2. Spiritual Vigilance and Purity
2. Spiritual Vigilance and Purity
In light of the narrative of the fallen angels lusting after human women and creating giants, there is a clear call for spiritual vigilance and personal purity.
In Part 1 (Fallen Angels), the angels who fell succumbed to their lust and transgressed God’s boundaries, corrupting humanity in the process.
The New Testament teaches believers to be vigilant and to guard against the lusts of the flesh that lead to spiritual compromise.
Holiness in body and spirit is crucial to avoid being lured into the same traps that have ensnared humanity since the beginning.
Believers can apply this by taking seriously Paul's call in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, which emphasizes that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we must honor God with our bodies, thus avoiding any foothold for the enemy in our lives.
3. Engaging in Warfare Against Demonic Forces
3. Engaging in Warfare Against Demonic Forces
Part 4 (Demons) gives us a clearer picture of what demons truly are—disembodied spirits of the Nephilim.
This understanding informs the way we engage in spiritual warfare.
These evil spirits are remnants of a world that was judged once before, and they continue their work of destruction and rebellion.
However, the ultimate victory belongs to Christ.
Jesus demonstrated His power over demons repeatedly in His earthly ministry, and He imparted that authority to His followers.
19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Believers are called to stand firm in the power of Christ when engaging in spiritual warfare.
Demons are not all-powerful; they are defeated foes, remnants of a rebellious world.
We must remember that Jesus has already disarmed them through the cross:
15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
This emboldens us in prayer, deliverance, and proclamation of the gospel.

Part 3 (Giants) opens the possibility that the conquest of Canaan was part of God's plan to rid the world of the last of the Nephilim’s descendants.
In spiritual warfare, there is a clear mandate for God’s people to advance His kingdom by reclaiming the ground that the enemy has stolen or occupied.
This can be spiritual (freedom from sin, breaking demonic strongholds) or physical (advancing God's will in families, communities, and nations).
Through Christ, believers are called to drive out the enemy’s influence in their own lives and in the world around them, knowing that God is with them as He was with Israel in the Old Testament (Joshua 1:9).
Christ’s victory over the giants of old—now manifest as demonic forces—calls us to courageously advance the gospel and destroy the works of the devil.
8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
