To begin with brothers and sisters christian friends well wishers and saints of God…It’s a great honor to come and preach for Rev Frankie Boyette on His 18th year Pastor’s anniversary and so as we glint gleam and gaze at this glorious text we find some galant facts that can’t be ignored.

And I’m afraid if we don’t go vote in November we might end up with the worst leader in American History so go vote. And so what did King Ahab do that was so bad,

3. King Ahab Married Jezebel and she was as wicked and as evil of a queen that Israel has ever seen. She hunted down preachers… And Obadiah had to hide the preachers in caves 50 at a time.

Brothers and sisters evil can’t keep on winning. And so the stage was set and now we have God angry at King Ahab for leading Israel down the wrong path. And God does hold the leader accountable for the direction that the country the county and the church is going in. King Ahab had taken Israel down the wrong path. Because The ten commandments teach us That Thou shalt not have no other god before Me. As a result God sends Elijah the tishbite A mighty prophet, a warhorse of a preacher. And God sends Elijah to tell Ahab that because of your sins THERE WILL NOT BE ANY RAIN FOR 3 YEARS.

3. Interestingly enough Ahab and Jezebel respected Elijah’s words. They said I don’t like that preacher but he always tells me the truth.

And so as a result Elijah leaves the scene the setting and the circumstance and wanders off to the wilderness to Cherith Brook. From the worst to the Best and now we have the Best running off into the wilderness… And the Lord provides the man of God with bread and meat and cool spring water.

Pastor Boyette don’t worry about it God got you down by the brook At the brook you seem to be broken at the brook you seemed to be in despair and at the brook you seemed to be depressed. And God will allow all of us to have our Cherith Brook moments. And what you have to understand is that God got you… Tell your neighbor God got you.

Now reach out your hand an point at your pastor and say Pastor God got you. God has a way of providing for us even when there is a famine in the land. Everybody else struggling and straining and God got ravens bringing you filet minoh and Texas Toast for breakfast and for dinner. Then the bible says that the brook dried up. in 1 Kings 17:7 And it came to pass after a while that the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land.And this tell me that when God shut one door!!! The good Lord knows how to bless you. Because we’re blessed coming in blessed going out blessed in the city blessed in the field we’re blessed everywhere we go. And the church said Amen. Elijah asked her, “Would you bring me a little water in a cup so I may have a drink?” 11 As she was going to get his water, Elijah said, “Please bring me a piece of bread, too.” That’s a polite way of speaking. and let me say this good manners will carry you a long long long ways.

2. Out of all the widow in that city, God by divine providence fixes it so Elijah runs into the very widow that going to sustain him. God has a way of putting the right people in your path that going to help you in your situation. And the church said Amen.

3. This is a leap of faith for Elijah to ask the widow for water then ask for bread too. Because in ancient times you didn’t just walk up to strange women and start a conversation. That man made groceries like a rich man and said open up the truck on your Cadillac and he never changed me a dime!!!! And from that day to this one I’ve never seen Nobody No where ever be that good to us again… Church remember the seasons in your life. Because you just might be in your best season and not know it.

Because 1 Timothy 5:17 says The elders who lead the church well should receive double honor, especially those who work hard by speaking and teaching,

And What I’m saying here today is we’re here to honor this man of God And if you do righteously by God man God will do righteously by you. I like it because I don’t want anyone to get order from God to help me then they suffer and can’t make it. God is a fair God God is a good God God is a God of equity God is a God of grace and provisions and God is a God of favor.
