+ Prayer for all days.
God our Father, You teach us through the life of Blessed Carlo Acutis a deep love for the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. Grant us the same spirit, and kindle in our hearts a profound love and respect for Jesus truly present in the consecrate host. Help us to avoid distractions from technology and grant us a perfect love for Mother Mary.
I offer these nine days of prayer, asking for the grace to renew in my heart the desire to be a saint by making Jesus in the Eucharist the center of my whole life.
And also, I ask this particular the grace: (put your intention)
+ Day 1: We should be Saints.
“I want to tell you a few of my very special secrets which will help you quickly reach sainthood. Always remember that you, too, can become a saint! First, you have to want it with your whole heart, and if you do not have the desire yet, you must ask the Lord for it with insistence. Every minute that passes in vain is a missed opportunity to become more holy”. — Carlo Acutis
+ Scripture Reading.
“As he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in every aspect of your conduct, 16 for it is written, “Be holy because I [am] holy.” 1 Pe 1:15–16.
+ Prayer of the First Day:
Mother Mary, you who obtained for to Blessed Carlo a strong desire for holiness, intercede for us with your Son, that we may share the same desire: to be holy, to do only what leads us to God, and to avoid all that displeases Him. Amen.
+ Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be….
+ Day 2: The Daly mass is the key.
“Try to go to Mass every day and receive Holy Communion. If we were to realize the infinite value of even a single Mass for eternal life, churches would be full to the brim.
“The more Eucharists we receive, the more similar we become to Jesus, and we get a taste of heaven while we are still on earth.
I think that many people do not fully understand the value of Mass, because if they recognized the enormous blessing we have in a Lord who gives himself as our food and drink in the Sacred host, they would go to Mass every day to participate in the fruits of the sacrifice and let go of so many superfluous things.” — Carlo Acutis
+ Scripture Reading.
“Every day theydevoted themselves to meeting together in the temple area and to breaking bread in their homes” — Acts 2:46
“For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes. — 1 Corinthians 11:26
+ Prayer of the Second Day:
Jesus Christ, you taught Blessed Carlo to attend Mass every day because he desired to be nourished by your love. Make us hungry for your Body and Blood present in the Eucharist, and grant us the devotion to attend Mass daily as you did with Blessed Carlo. Amen.
+ Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be….
+ Day 3: Adore Jesus.
“If you can, try to spend a few minutes in Eucharistic adoration before the tabernacle where Jesus is truly present. In this way, you’ll see how your level of holiness increases!
If we get in front of the sun, we get suntans, but when we get in front of Jesus in the Eucharist, we become saints.
Eucharistic adoration, through which Jesus transfigures us and makes us more like him.”— Carlo Acutis
+ Scripture Reading.
“Enter, let us bow down in worship; let us kneel before the LORD who made us. For he is our God; we are the people he shepherds, the sheep in his hands.” — Psalm 95:6
“And on entering the house, they saw the child with Mary, his mother. They prostrated themselves and did him homage.” — Matthew 2:11
“The twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each of the elders held a harp and gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of the holy ones.” — Revelation 5:8
+ Prayer of the Third Day:
O Jesus, who are so abandoned and ignored by many who do not realize that You are alive in the tabernacle of each Church, grant us a deep desire to adore You. Make us remedy their abandonment with our companionship, their forgetfulness with our presence, and their ingratitude with our love. Make us true adorers in spirit and in truth. Amen.
+ Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be….
+ Day 4: Pray the rosary.
“Remember to recite the holy Rosary every day.
Who can intercede more for us than a God who offers Himself to God? During the consecration, we must beg God the Father for grace through the merits of His only Son, Jesus Christ... and through the tears and sorrows of the Virgin Mary, who, as His mother, intercedes for us more than anyone else.” — Carlo Acutis
+ Scripture Reading.
“Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, ‘Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.’” — Luke 1:44
“Behold, from now on all ages will call me blessed.” — Luke 1:48
“Then the dragon became angry with the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring, those who keep God’s commandments and bear witness to Jesus.” — Revelation 12:17
+ Prayer of the fourth:
Jesus before dying you entrusted your Mother to whom you loved the most, grant to us and strong love to your Mother and help us in imitating her virtues, especially his obedience in any difficult. Amen.
+ Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be….
+ Day 5: Read a passage from holy Scripture every day.
To show how all of Scripture speaks of Christ, Carlo loved to recount episodes in the Bible that clearly depict the figures of Jesus, the sacraments, and especially the marvelous gift of the Eucharist.” — Carlo’s mother
+ Scripture Reading.
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked… Rather, the law of the Lord is his joy; and on his law he meditates day and night. Psalm 1:1–3
Blessed is the one who reads aloud and blessed are those who listen to this prophetic message and heed what is written in it. Revelation 1:3
Blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it. Luke 1:48
+ Prayer of the Fifth day:
Jesus, You are the Word of God. You opened the minds of Your disciples so they could understand that You are the center of Holy scripture. Grant us the grace to seek You in our daily reading of the Divine word.
+ Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be….
+ Day 6: If you can, confess every week, even for venial sins.
“In order to rise, a hot air balloon needs to remove weights, just like how the soul needs to remove the little weights of venial sins in order to rise up to heaven. In the case of a mortal sin, the soul falls back to earth, and confession is like the fire that makes the hot air balloon rise up again. We need to confess often because the soul is very complex”. — Carlo Acutis
+ Scripture Reading.
“And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.’” — John 20:22–23
“And all this is from God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Christ and given us the ministry of reconciliation.” — 2 Corinthians 5:18
+ Prayer of the sixth day:
Merciful Father, You have given us Your Son for the forgiveness of our sins and desire that His merits be applied to us through the sacraments. Renew in our lives the love of confession, so that we may wipe away any stain of sin from our souls. Amen.
+ Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be….
+ Day 7: Make promises often to God and the Virgin Mary to help others.
“Our lives will truly be beautiful only if we discover how to love God above all things and our neighbor as ourselves. Everything passes away… the only thing that will make us truly beautiful in God’s eyes is the way that we have loved Him and our brothers.” — Carlo Acutis
+ Scripture Reading.
“Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; a stranger and you welcomed me; naked and you clothed me; ill and you cared for me; in prison and you visited me.” — Matthew 25:34–36
+ Prayer of the seventh day:
Jesus Christ, at the evening of our lives, we will be judged according to our mercy—not only for the wrongs we have committed, but also for the good we have omitted. Help us to practice charity each day and to see your face in those who are suffering and rejected by others. Amen.
+ Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be….
+ Day 8: Ask your guardian angel, who must become your best friend, for help.
“Starting when he was little, he would pray to his guardian angel every day and experience the concrete help that was his answer. Carlo learned to seek out his guardian angel so that he would help him overcome his main flaws. He said that these angels do not enter places where sin is regularly cultivated, such as certain nightclubs. When we agree to sin, we no longer enjoy their protection because this involves indulgence and spiritual compromise.” — Carlo’s mother
“How great the dignity of the soul, since each one has from his birth an angel commissioned to guard it.” — St. Jerome
+ Scripture Reading.
“For he commands his angels with regard to you, to guard you wherever you go. With their hands they shall support you.” — Psalm 91:11–12
“Are they not all ministering spirits sent to serve, for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?” — Hebrews 1:14
+ Prayer of the eight day:
Angel of God, you who have been appointed as my personal guardian of soul and body, open my mind and strengthen my will to follow the graces and inspirations that God sends to me. Keep me away from any person or place that may lead me into sin, and guide me toward those who can help me achieve eternal salvation. Amen.
+ Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be….
+ Day 9: Sadness is looking at ourselves, happiness is looking towards God.
“Unhappiness is born from sin and from distance from God. The only solution is to abandon sin and begin a new life in the grace of God.
I am happy to die because I have lived my life without wasting a minute on those things that do not please God.” — Carlo Acutis
+ Scripture reading.
“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” — Galatians 5:22–23
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, wailing or pain, for the old order has passed away.” — Revelation 21:4
+ Prayer of the ninth day:
God, you helped the young Carlo Acutis discover that true happiness lies only in you. Help us to seek you as the source of true and eternal joy. Grant this through the intercession of your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
+ Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be….
Our goal must be infinite, not the finite. The infinite is our homeland. Heaven has been waiting for us forever.” — Carlo Acutis
