Melania Trump

“Individual freedom is a fundamental principle that I safeguard. Without a doubt, there is no room for compromise when it comes to this essential right that all women possess from birth: individual freedom. What does my body, my choice really mean?”
Reportedly has a book coming out that says “Why should anyone other than the woman herself have the power to determine what she does with her own body?… A woman’s fundamental right of individual liberty, to her own life, grants her the authority to terminate her pregnancy if she wishes.”

Trump

Trump on Truth Social post: “Everyone knows I would not support a federal abortion ban, under any circumstances, and would, in fact, veto it, because it is up to the states to decide based on the will of their voters (the will of the people!)”

Talk about the problem with these views

Two ways to look at the election

Barna: only 51% of Christians plan to vote

Case Against

If I can’t trust them to protect human life I can’t trust them with anything.
They can’t wield the sword in Romans 13.

Case For

If we don’t vote and lead as designed in our constitutional republic, godless people will.
You can take your ball and go home, but they are still going to play the game and the game is going to effect your life and your children’s life.
We might not want to vote for the lesser of two evils but the argument with go is if we don’t vote for the lesser of two evils that guarantees we are going to get the GREATER EVIL.
It all comes down to your philosophy on voting.
Are Christians only permitted to vote for the “perfect” candidate?
Then how could we have ever voted before because by that definition you could only ever vote for a sincere Bible-believing Christian.
Or are Christians supposed to use their vote on the best path forward or the one that most closely resembles God’s Law.
Its not who can I endorse?
Its whose policies most closely align with God’s law/slows the decay of culture.
Whose policies best promote the love of neighbor.

Work’s Not Done

Inflation, division, moral degradation, illegal immigration isn’t going to be fixed by politics.
These are covenant curses God pours out on nations that do not worship Him.
Its Sodom and Gomorrah and Christians need to hold the line and call others to repent.
We need a national repentance. A national revival which can only come from the church being salt and light.
