Psalm 90-92
Moses begins not just with judgement, this shows us the standards of the law. Even Moses teaches us that we cannot do it ourselves/in the flesh. Its about being in the practice of the presence of God.
Psalm 90:title–11 “ A Prayer Of Moses the Man of God. (if written by then is oldest of all the Psalms around 1500 bc) 1 Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations. 2 Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever You had formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. 3 You turn man to destruction, And say, “Return, O children of men.” 4 For a thousand years in Your sight Are like yesterday when it is past, And like a watch in the night. ( 2 Peter 3:8 “ But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”) 5 You carry them away like a flood; They are like a sleep. In the morning they are like grass which grows up: 6 In the morning it flourishes and grows up; In the evening it is cut down and withers. 7 For we have been consumed by Your anger, And by Your wrath we are terrified. 8 You have set our iniquities before You, Our secret sins in the light of Your countenance. 9 For all our days have passed away in Your wrath; We finish our years like a sigh. 10 The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are eighty years, Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away. 11 Who knows the power of Your anger? For as the fear of You, so is Your wrath.”

1 Corinthians 4:5 “ Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one’s praise will come from God.”
Psalm 90:12–17 “ So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom. (if takes a lifetime to know Him, start now) 13 Return, O Lord! How long? And have compassion on Your servants. 14 Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy, That we may rejoice and be glad all our days! 15 Make us glad according to the days in which You have afflicted us, The years in which we have seen evil. 16 Let Your work appear to Your servants, And Your glory to their children. 17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, And establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands.”
Notice the writer says, Lord you have to teach us! Only Gods wisdom can save or truly instruct and we need to learn it. Just because natural carnal wisdom occasionally lines up, a broken clock is right twice a day or we ust copied from the page.
1 Corinthians 1:20 “ Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?”
The presence of God is what we need to see out, Brother Lawerence said, “I cannot imagine how religious persons can live satisfied without the practice of the presence of God. For my part I keep myself retired with Him in the fund or centre of my soul as much as I can; and while I am so with Him I fear nothing; but the least turning from Him is insupportable”
We need to remember our presence in Him, Him in us keep going - he makes us successful. He performs these things
Psalm 91:1–16 “ He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” (These first two verses of Psalm 91 use four wonderful titles or names for God: Most High: Elyon.Almighty: Shadday. The LORD: Yahweh. My God: Elohay.) 3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. (describe snare used on Alone ask liz difficult escape) 4 He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. 5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, 6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. (even if you die, you win) 8 Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, 10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; 11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. 12 In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. 13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. 14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. 15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.””
Satan uses these against us, but Jesus turned it around on Satan and we must know that we Philippians 4:13 “ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” I will be saved my whole life because He can and will carry me through! John 15:5 “ “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
The Lord shows His faithfulness
The Lord shows His faithfulness
Psalm 92:title–7 “ A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath Day. 1 It is good to give thanks to the Lord, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; 2 To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, And Your faithfulness every night, 3 On an instrument of ten strings, On the lute, And on the harp, With harmonious sound. 4 For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands. 5 O Lord, how great are Your works! Your thoughts are very deep. 6 A senseless man does not know, Nor does a fool understand this. 7 When the wicked spring up like grass, And when all the workers of iniquity flourish, It is that they may be destroyed forever.”
I like that they use instruments to worship the Lord. Should we sing more of folks being destroyed forever.
Psalm 92:8–9 “ But You, Lord, are on high forevermore. 9 For behold, Your enemies, O Lord, For behold, Your enemies shall perish; All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.”
He will judge. John 5:27 “ and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man.”
Psalm 92:10–11 “ But my horn (strength) You have exalted like a wild ox; (remember when felt unbeatable) I have been anointed with fresh oil. (refreshed) 11 My eye also has seen my desire on my enemies; My ears hear my desire on the wicked Who rise up against me.” (I have seen and heard the victory)
When even one of us rises up knowing who He is and who we are in Him, the world around us can be changed.
Psalm 92:12–15 “ The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. 13 Those who are planted in the house of the Lord Shall flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing, 15 To declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.”
Fruitfulness, vitality, when we are caught in Him, there is nothing but truth and holiness in Him.
