Why do people not change when they claim to be Christians? We need to see that continual sin and salvation are incompatible. The Hebrews are warned that they cannot go on sinning. We cannot continue in our sinful ways.

Christians cannot continue in sin. (26-27)

There is something wrong if we keep on going after sin after we know Christ.
Pick one or the other.
The life of a Christian is incompatible with continual sin.
We can see the incongruity of continuing after sin.

Christians should fear the wrath of God. (28-31)

Christians should have a healthy respect for the wrath of God.
I like guns, but one pointed at me would certainly instill fear.
If the Israelites were killed for setting aside the law, how can we think we can set aside the Gospel at will?
We can have a healthy fear of God’s wrath.
We can live lives free of continual sin.
