On behalf of the family I would like to thank you all for being here today, and though today is a very difficult day God makes this promise...
Psalm 46:1-3: God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling.
Romans 8:35-39
1. Because of God's love Christians should not fear anything.
We are troubled when we do not know what is going to happen when we die, but God has taken that fear away through Jesus. But how?
Romans 3:23 - for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 5:8- but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Jesus has conquered the grave and death so there needs to be no fear in our eternal future.
2. God will personally receive us as we are.
Ephesians 2:4-5: But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—
Jesus has conquered the grave and death so there needs to be no fear because through Jesus was also conquer death.
Romans 10:9 - because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Do you know this good news this is today? Death had no hold on Him nor does it have on those who believe in the sacrificial love Jesus did for us.
Will Jesus personally receive you? That choice has to be made by you. Trust in Jesus and personally receive Him. If you haven't do not wait, do that today.
