Lord’s Supper (2 Corinthians 4:10)

2 Corinthians 4:10 ESV
10 always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.
Death and resurrection of Jesus is foundational to our faith. Without him truly dying there is not need for the resurrection. Without the resurrection he is like all other religious leaders. We would have no hope.
Jesus is also our example. We die to self.
Galatians 2:20 ESV
20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
We die to self because of our frail bodies.
We have to be made alive in Christ so that God can use these imperfect vessels.
It is amazing that God is using Cole and Luis and their families to take His name to the nations.
God can use us because of the price paid for us by Jesus on the cross. He redeemed this fallen vessels. He paid the price so that we can live.
The Lord’s Supper is a time for us to remember the price that was paid for us.
If you are a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, which means you have come to the place in your life you have surrendered your life to him, we welcome you to join us in this remembrance.
If you are not yet a follower of Christ, we ask you respect our tradition and not participate with us.
I Corinthians 11:27-29 , 33-34
1 Corinthians 11:27–29 ESV
27 Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty concerning the body and blood of the Lord. 28 Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself.
1 Corinthians 11:33–34 ESV
33 So then, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another— 34 if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home—so that when you come together it will not be for judgment. About the other things I will give directions when I come.
Prayer
1 Corinthians 11:23–24 ESV
23 For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
Eat Bread
1 Corinthians 11:25 ESV
25 In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
Drink Cup
1 Corinthians 11:26 ESV
26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
