The Acceptable Time
The Acceptable Time
Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.
For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
We are Christ’s Ambassadors
We are Christ’s Ambassadors
We are sent to represent Christ.
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.”
We are Christ’s Fellow Workers
We are Christ’s Fellow Workers
We are sent to assist Christ in His work to reach the lost.
We are Christ’s Heralds
We are Christ’s Heralds
We are sent to declare Christ’s message.
Jesus Christ died for your sins.
You have been offered the gift of Christ’s righteousness through faith.
This gift of righteousness is the pre-requisite of salvation and eternal life.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
You must not squander this opportunity to receive God’s grace.
Leonard Ravenhill: "The opportunity of a lifetime must be seized during the lifetime of the opportunity."
Do not receive the grace of God in vain, i.e., to make it of no effect in your life.
