PRESSURE!!!!!!

Pressure to show stenght in order to succeed at bringing the corinthians to repentence. He is experiencing pressure to peform, to be winsome, to be charming, to be present as skilfully dressed, to use his words in a way that persuadies and entertains the people to pull them away from these other beautiful, eloquent people who are pulling them away from Jesus and towards themselves.
Pressure to show strength in order to succeed at the life God has called us to.
There is a pressure to show strength. To never let them see you sweat. To not be taken advantage of again. In order to win at the game of life to win at the desitny that the Lord ihas call you You got to be strong!!! In order for you to raise your children they need to see strong parents.
I order to teach that clas and to win at the game of Life. You have got to succeed. And to succeed you’ve got to be strong.
Preacher falling — when you are morally upright you are succeeding.
And so we take a special pride in our successes. And we take a special shame in our failures.
There is a pressure to succed and a pressure nto to fail.
And so we boost, highligh, demonstrate our success and do not highlight our failures.
God knows how many times I didn’t give my self a chance to succeed because I was deeply ashamed of failure.
Grace in the text
Suffering and scars are the validation of God’s work through Paul.
It’s the suffering that makes him apostle.
Love is spelled S-U-F-F-E-R-I-N-G
Your suffering and your scars are the proof that you are HIS AND He is working through you.
