If you hear nothing else:

WHEN YOU’RE CARRYING A LOT, REMEMBER THAT GOD CARES A LOT. 1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
Anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow—only today of its strength.
Charles Spurgeon

Stress can make us irritable and impatient.
Stress can impact us physically.
Stress can lead us to respond in unhealthy ways.
We can fall back into old habits to numb the overwhelming feelings instead of doing what we know is best (or what God says is best).
Stress starts as one thing and eventually morphs into everything everywhere!
EXPLAIN PETER - RE-READ Scripture
Big or small, every single stress that sends us spiraling is something God wants to carry for us.
Some translations of this verse use the word “cast” instead of “give.” I love that word because it literally means to throw something forcefully in a specific direction. (Bluey Episode)
We cast our cares on things that weren’t designed to carry them.
WHEN YOU’RE CARRYING A LOT, REMEMBER THAT GOD CARES A LOT.
APPLY
First, we have to become aware of the stress we’re carrying.
Then, admit that you weren’t meant to carry your stress alone.
If you’re not sure you’re ready for that, try writing about the stress you’re feeling.
Some of you may even need to process your stress with another person.
CLOSE
Remember, God didn’t intend for us to live our lives stressed out all the time.
When you’re carrying a lot, remember that God cares a lot.
What’s one stress in my life I can give to God?
