Evangelism
M. Abrams What is the role of the church in evangelism? Urgency, Unveil,
Before Jesus ascended back to heaven, he gave the great commission to the disciples that applies to us, “GO”! (Mathew 28:19-20)
We the church have been commissioned which means we have been given AUTHORITY by Christ to “GO’ win souls, but keep this in mind we have AUTHORITY with EXPECTATION!
He EXPECTS US to win souls anywhere and everywhere we can
anywhere you find yourself is a good opportunity to win souls
and everywhere you find yourself is a good opportunity to win souls
John 4:35; says the fields are ripe unto harvest
Blueprint for ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE WE GO to win souls…..
Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Urgency - John 4:4; Jesus was moved by Urgancy
Unveil - 2 Corinthians 4:3 If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing
Unapologetically share the good news -
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. 17. This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”
K. Padgette How should the signs of the end times impact our approach to
personal evangelism?
T. Padgette When people are fearful or feel inadequate about sharing the gospel,
what counsel can you offer to help them share the gospel in simple
yet effective ways?
Growing in love with Word
M. Carter How do we maintain consistent and meaningful Bible study that
doesn’t become routine or mundane?
K. Padgette How do we get understanding to rightly apply the Word of God to our
lives?
M. Abrams - How do we go from a casual relationship with the Word to grow into a
deep, personal love for the Word of God?
It can happen intentionally or by default. Typically the latter precedes the former.
Psalm 34:8 Taste and see that the Lord is good.
Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him
And we taste and we see that He is good Right
But Mathew 13:4 declares that we all come into the kingdom at the level of the footpath.
The seed of the Gospel penetrates my heart at surface level initially.
Because there are people, places & things
vying, politicking, campaigning for your time and attention
Luke 10:39-42; says that your either Mary or Martha at this point!
vs 39. The Bible says that when Jesus visits their house Mary sat at Jesus’ feet ( she chose Jesus over everything)!
vs 40 say’s that Martha chose to be distracted. You know we can choose to engage in things that add f=no value to our lives … like gossip or spend hours scrolling. And when these things didn’t fulfill her Martha complained
vs 41. Jesus exposed the nature of Martha’s complaint
vs 42 and finally reveals that Mary has chose the needful thing; spending time at the masters feet.
You know the operative word in vs 42 is NEED.
Because we don’t know we NEED him until we NEED Him! ( LIFE HAS A WAY OF THROWING YOU SOME STUFF ) ….And that’s when i believe the relationship shifts.
where He don’t have to come looking for you but you search Him out
YOU’LL HAVE A .. ..Job 23:12 (EXPERIENCE) …
Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips;
I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
SO WHEN YOU TALK ABOUT HAVING A DEEP PERSONAL LOVE FOR THE WORD OF GOD.. I BELIEVE IT STARTS BY DEFAULT AND THEN IT BECOMES INTENTIONAL
Idol Worship/people worship
T. Padgette How does idolatry manifest itself in a post- - modern society, and how
can we identify and overcome idolatry in our own lives?
M. Carter How can we recognize the subtle ways in which people worship
creeps into our lives?
False Prophecy
M. Carter What does the Bible say about false prophets? Can you give
examples of false prophecy in the Bible? What can we learn from
these examples?
T. Padgette How can we distinguish between true and false teaching? How can
we protect ourselves and unsuspecting members of the Church from
being deceived by false prophecy?
Hearing from God
K. Padgette What are the different ways God speaks to us? How can we recognize
His voice amidst the noise and distractions of everyday life?
M. Carter What are some common obstacles that can hinder our ability to hear
from God? How can we overcome these obstacles and develop a
deeper connection with Him?
T. Padgette What do I do when I think I heard from God but I don’t know what to do
with what I heard?
Kingdom Agenda
M. Abrams What is the Kingdom agenda?
THE KINGDOM AGENDA IS THE BIBLICAL DEMONSTRATION OF THE COMPREHENSIVE RULE OF GOD OVER ALL OF LIFE
IT PENETRATES
INDIVIDUALS
FAMILIES
CHURCH
COMMUNITY
DANIEL 6:25 Then King Darius wrote to all the peoples, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth: “Peace be multiplied to you.
26. I make a decree, that in all my royal dominion people are to tremble and fear before the God of Daniel,
for he is the living God,
enduring forever;
his kingdom shall never be destroyed,
and his dominion shall be to the end.
K. Padgette Is advancing the kingdom agenda just for church leaders and
ministers? What does advancing the Kingdom agenda mean and look
like for those of us who sit in the pews?
