How to Pray for Your Child

Luke 2:40

In Luke 2:40 we read that Jesus as a child. These verse gives insight into how we can pray for our children

Here are ways you can pray for you child…

1. Pray for their growth and strength

Jesus grew physically, emotional, and spiritually, we should pray for our kids to grow in these areas.

Ask the Lord to help them grow strong in body and mind, to trust in Jesus as their Savior and to have healthy relationships.

2. Pray that the Lord will give them His wisdom.

Jesus was filled with wisdom, and parents should earnestly seek that for their children.

Pray that they will make wise choices, discern right from wrong, and to navigate life’s challenges with an understanding that will bring God glory.

3. Pray for God’s Favor/Grace to be over them.

Pray that your child will experience God’s presence in their lives.

Ask for guidance in their decisions and for opportunities that will align with God’s purpose for them.

Praying for our children os one of the most powerful gifts we can offer. You should intentionally pray for your child’s salvation, growth in wisdom, and God’s grace, trusting that He is at work in their lives.
