The verbs in this scripture are passive. In other words to “continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into hiim, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strongly in the truth you were taught,” - means that if we remain in Christ and the path of Him. He will build us up and strengthen us in our faith that He taught us!
