Truths to Remember

There is more to life than necessities.
If the Lord provides for the birds, don’t you think He will provide for you?
What does your worry accomplish?
If God cares for the lilies, don’t you think He will care for His children?

O You of Little Faith

Other times Jesus told people they had little faith: Matthew 8:26 (afraid of the storm, Why are you afraid?), Matthew 14:31 (afraid of the wind and drowning, Why did you doubt?), and Matthew 16:8 (worried about lack of bread, Why are you discussing among yourselves the fact that you have no bread?).
Proverbs 22:13 “The sluggard says, “There is a lion outside! I shall be killed in the streets!””
Don’t be anxious like the Gentiles.
See Ephesians 1:16-19...
Philippians 4:6–7 “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Seek First the Kingdom of God

See John 6:26–29...
Colossians 3:1–2 “If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.”
Luke 9:23 “And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”
These things will be added to you.
Psalm 84:11–12 “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in you!”
Luke 18:29–30 “And he said to them, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who will not receive many times more in this time, and in the age to come eternal life.””
The Lord will provide for our DAILY needs.
Lamentations 3:21–23 “But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
Isaiah 26:3–4 “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.”
Hebrews 13:5–6 “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?””
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
