Welcome to the very first episode of the Spiritual Interventions Podcast! I’m your host, Aaron Owens. I’m thrilled to embark on this journey with you as we explore the depths of spirituality, personal growth, and transformative experiences. Together, we'll dive into inspiring stories, practical insights, and powerful discussions that aim to uplift and enlighten. Before we dive deeper into today’s topic, let me share a bit about myself. I’m Aaron Owens, a proud graduate of Cairn University, where I earned my Master’s degree in counseling. With a passion for helping others, I’ve practiced Biblically-based Christian counseling within my church ministry for several years. Now, I’m excited to launch a new initiative called Spiritual Interventions Counseling, a para-church program dedicated to Christ-centered counseling interventions. Our focus is on fostering healing through the transformative love of Christ, nurturing understanding, and building productive, healing relationships. I believe that with faith as our foundation, we can create meaningful connections that lead to profound personal growth and spiritual renewal.

After experiencing intense times of depression, anxiety, personal and spiritual failure, I began to seek help. I was always taught that the church had every thing that I needed. I was always taught that God was all sufficient. Despite my upbringing I went on a journey seeking help in clinical counseling. I sought out psychotherapy to address my needs. I engaged with various counselors which provided a sense of hope for me in that I began to be able to express my issues to someone who would listen and maintain a perceived positive regard for me.

I became so inspired by counseling that I enrolled in a graduate counseling program at a Christian University because I felt that I needed to be a conduit for many people like me. On my educational journey, and personal counseling experience, I was led back to the Cross of Christ as the all sufficient source help. My educational experience strengthened my convictions in a God that meets all of our needs according to his riches in glory. I want to share with you the perspectives and interventions that Christ has helped me to know during my times of pain and isolation.
