Matthew 12:43–45 ESV
“When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, but finds none. Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when it comes, it finds the house empty, swept, and put in order. Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that person is worse than the first. So also will it be with this evil generation.”
Pray for the understanding of how to preserve our liberation.
6 months in study
What it means to set the captives free
Various types of
restraints, ties, and ligatures
jails/prisons
types of enemies
Equipping the body to be awakened and to be equipped for the ongoing warfare that is the life of Christianity
Eph 6 tells of an ongoing spiritual warfare that we are to be equipped for…
Goes beyond a mere jingle… and much more than a far off concept
James 1:2–4 ESV
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
is not stating if you meet trials… it assures you that you will meet
situations, circumstances, people, and other various things that
will extensively test you.
Its effect is not to dissuade you from believing… it is intent on
Perfect… fully accomplished or completely matured.
Complete… not just the quality of but the quantity of…
all of your members and components made present
made with integrity
not just one of good character and moral qualities
Each part is connected
body, soul, spirit
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength…”
Over the next few weeks different voices speaking on how we contend against a spirit that is intent on returning…
The previous 6 months have focused on;
Shining a light onto things that the Lord is asking to take from our lives
Bringing awareness to the areas that were in need of liberation
The need for ministration
The effort in the awakening
Close out these next few weeks equipping you to keep your liberation.

Once you have attained liberation in your life it is your responsibility to maintain your liberation.

Warning to the Church

2 Thes Paul makes clear there is a rebellion that is sure to plague the body which includes the rise of the man of lawlessness inside of no other place than in the church
Now read the Gospel of Matthew once more…
curiosity arises
how does this man of lawlessness arise in the church?
how does this rebellion creep in?
Jesus before making this statement speaks on how a house cannot be divided against itself or it will fall
bind the strong man of the house and then it can be plundered.
Matthew 12:44 ESV
Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when it comes, it finds the house empty, swept, and put in order.
Return to my house…
faux ownership…
believes it belongs to him
Inspects the house…
someone has done the work
consider the revivals of old that failed to yield
Divides the house…
disintegrates the body
division that weakens the body
Consider for the moment the big C church… is it being integrated or divided?
Now consider the person as an individual… are they being integrated or being divided?
2 Thessalonians 2:4 ESV
who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.
Note the man of lawlessness
exalts himself against any god
takes his seat in the temple of God
claims to be God…
For all those claiming to be the temple of God…
do you see the warning…
We cannot be God to ourselves.
God must have his place in you.
We are at war with a very real enemy… its not a war that is over and done with once… it is an ongoing war. The end is already written.

Integrating to the Nature of God

1 Thessalonians 5:23 ESV
Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Sanctification process led by the Lord.
follow as He desires
Connecting to the Nature of God
this is what was broken in the garden
reconnecting our Spirit with the Spirit of God.
God is the one leading… convicting… teaching…
When one of these is out of alignment it will sow division that seeks to destroy the body
Maintaining our liberation means we have to actively do the work of caring for our liberation

Instructions to Preserving your Liberation

2 Timothy 2:3–6 ESV
Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him. An athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. It is the hard-working farmer who ought to have the first share of the crops.
Be an active partaker in the warfare (suffering) of Christ
Soldier with Allegiance to Christ
DO NOT get entangled with pursuits of the flesh…
Instead Be controlled by God’s will
Dedication to the Kingdom of God
Athlete according to the Rules
We are not contending according to the rules of this kingdom
Know the rules of the Kingdom of Heaven
Discipline to the Kingdom of God
Hard-working Farmer according to the crops
We are not after the fruit of this world
There is work in the Kingdom of Heaven
Diligence to the Kingdom of God
Our war places a demand on our life that is to be Dedicated and Disciplined to the Kingdom of Heaven, As we Diligently pursue the one who has enlisted us
We are not our own, cannot be God to the self therefore must turnover the self to God
this is the only way we will preserve our Liberation.
