Welcome to Camp Fimfo, our new 6th Grade Retreat Location!
We are so excited to hang out with you today, enjoy the outside beauty of God’s creation, and come together to reflect God’s Word.

Thoughts on how vast the greatness of God is and how we don’t even scrape the surface of KNOWING Him.
Then comes the thought about PEOPLE - THATS YOU AND ME
WE tend to carry around false thoughts about WHO GOD IS and think we KNOW some things about HIM, but really we are misled.
>>The question is Do we really VALUE God in our lives?
Many times we try to live a pure and clean life for God, but we end up in the mud, getting messy, as we live our daily lives and interact with others. We know there is a huge God, with expectations somewhere, and we try to play the game of life, but sometimes get it wrong.
In this struggle to follow and KNOW GOD, David asked a similar question...

How can a young person live a clean life?
By carefully reading the map of your Word.
I’m single-minded in pursuit of you;
don’t let me miss the road signs you’ve posted.
I’ve banked your promises in the vault of my heart
so I won’t sin myself bankrupt.

train me in your ways of wise living.

How much of God’s TRUTH do you have banked in the vault of your heart???
How much do you VALUE God?
God's Word helps us see the truth that Jesus is right there with us, on our side.

They say that your generation tends to hack through life in a survival mode. You guys are the first generation that doesn’t need to go to a person to get information and direction. What I see, however, is that if you guys don’t know the TRUTH of GOD”S WORD and go to Him, you will have tons of great knowledge without Godly Wisdom.
You might grow in knowledge, but lack in TRUTH.
When we miss the TRUTH, we miss out on a direction in life that will put us in the hand of God’s blessing and His prosperity for our life. A life satisfied and fulfilled by the destiny God has called you to.
We may have a generation of students that hear a call on the cell phone, but don’t know how to hear THE CALL of GOD on their lives!
Lets choose in 6th grade to be the searchers of TRUTH. Lets choose to use God’s TRUTH as our map and live God honoring lives for His Kingdom.
The most striking feature of Psalm 119—one that every commentator mentions because it is so important to the psalm’s theme—is that each verse of the psalm refers to the Word of God, the Bible, with only a small handful of exceptions.

Opening Interactive: Crazy Piggy Banks
Pass out the Crazy Piggy Banks provided to each student. Grab a roll of pennies for the group.
Think about God’s TRUTH that YOU KNOW.
Have each student share one TRUTH they know with the group. As they share, drop one penny in the Crazy Piggy Bank.
Continue to withdraw from the Small Group “Banker” one Penny for every TRUTH.
THINK TWICE CHALLENGE
1. Think about YOUR CRAZY PIGGY BANK. What is the result of your own VALUE for God’s Truth? If you need to add more to the BANK, how do you do that?
2. Have you BANKED the TRUTH or PROMISES of GOD in your vault lately?
3. How does banking God’s TRUTH in the PIGGY BANK or VAULT of our heart help us in life?
4. If TRUTH goes in the PIGGY BANK of our hearts, what withdraws value from your heart?
5. How does ADDING VALUE to your PIGGY BANK help you with WISE LIVING?
CRAZY PIGGY BANK CHALLENGE
ADD TO YOUR BANKS TOGETHER!!!! End the group time by finding 25 TRUTH Verses that could add value to your life. Discover God’s Truth in His Word and write out some of those verses in your Journal Below.
