It is as simple as that yet the concept of believe requires action

You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!

Belief must require more than just an acknowledgement of the Lordship of Jesus Christ or else Heaven will be filled with those who were caste out of it

We are called to repentance in the Bible

James argues that suitable actions will inevitably follow a sincere experience of repentance

Confession and belief are interchangeable

While repentance is not a work that earns salvation, repentance unto salvation does result in works. It is impossible to truly change your mind without changing your actions in some way.

You say you live a healthy life style but you don’t change you diet]

It is the wedding that makes you married or the actions you take afterwards

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

When we are saved we are a new creation in Christ our lives should represent that

Luke 19:8 ESV

And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor. And if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it fourfold.”

Zaccaeus is a prime example when he encounter Jesus he immediately repented, a sought to rectify his wrongs

I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.”
