Why the Spanish Bible issue is important for English speakers

This conference will be a three part series on the Spanish Bible Issue that I hope will help you as an English speaker to understand what is going on in regards to the Spanish Bible.
I will be approaching this teaching with the assumption that this church already is believes in textual purity.
Pastor told me that you have been taught the dangers of the Critical Text and the importance of the King James and the traditional text of the Bible.
Note: I cover this important topic in my book if you need to review. The history of the Bible and the corruption of the Critical Text.
*Tonight I want to speak to you as to why the Spanish Bible issue is important.
*Tuesday night the topic is The Spanish Bible issue explained and its solution.
We will look at and compare the Spanish Bibles currently in use in IFB churches and show which is are corrupt and which is the one we should use.
*Wednesday night the topic will be Hinderances to textual purity in the Spanish Bible.
We will discuss why so many churches continue to use corrupt Spanish Bibles despite having the ability to stop doing so.
The title of tonights message on the importance of the Spanish Bible issue even for English speakers is “The Name which is above every name”
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Here in Philippians 2 we see some of the most important verses in the entire Bible.
Because they tell us about our great Lord Jesus Christ.
This passage shows us his Divinity V6.
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
He shows us his humility V7. How he emptied himself, and took the form of a servant.
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
V7 also shows us that Christ, although He was completely God, He was also completely man.
And He suffered like we suffer.
V8 shows us his passion V8…the great sacrifice He made on the cross of Calvary to pay for our sins.
But He did not remain in the grave…but rose from the dead on the third day.
And He ascended to heaven where He is now at the right hand of the Father.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
V9 shows us that Christ as been highly exalted.
There is no one that is more highly exalted than Jesus Christ!
His Name is above every name!
There is no name that even compares with the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
Christ is called many things in the Scriptures
In Revelation 21.6, He is the Alpha and the Omega!!!
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
In John 10.11, He is the Good Shepherd.
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
In John 8.58, He is the Great I am.
58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
In Matthew 1.23, He is Emmanuel or “God with us.”
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
In John 1.29, He is the Lamb of God.
29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
In Isaiah 9.6, His name is Wonderful, Counsellor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: And the government shall be upon his shoulder: And his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
In John 6.35, He is the bread of life.
35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
In Isaiah 59.20, He is the Redeemer.
20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, And unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the Lord.
In 1 Peter 2.4, He is the living stone.
4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
And He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords in Revelation 17:14.
14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
And He has a Name that is above every name.
And best of all, the Word of God says that one day very soon, every knee will bow...
And every tongue will confess…that Jesus Christ is Lord.
To the glory of God the Father.
The Father is pleased when the Name of his Precious Son is exalted to the Highest!!!!
Listen to me well.
The Father is pleased when the Name of Christ is exalted
(Pause for Emphasis)
But there is someone who is not pleased...
There is someone who hates this name...
The devil
The devil knows that one day he will bend his knee and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
The devil has read the Bible, he knows this.
The devil knows his Bible better than any of us men.
And if there is a being in this universe that hates the exalted Name of our Lord Jesus Christ... it is the devil.
Why?
Because the devil knows there is power in the Name of Jesus Christ.
A. The devil knows that there is Power to Save
This is what Jesus means… Jehovah Saves
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
The devil works hard to blind the minds of unbelievers because he knows that only in the name of Jesus Christ is there salvation.
B. The devil knows that all authority is in the Name of Jesus Christ
4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
He spoke and the universe appeared…and the entire universe is sustained by his power.
He spoke and the sea was calmed
Because in this name there is power.
How much power?

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Jesus has no competition when it comes to His power and authority.
Example: The sun stopping at his commandment in the book of Joshua.
Example: The red sea opening
All nature listens to this Name and His voice.
The devil knows this.
He knows that there is power in the Name of Jesus.
C. The devil knows that he himself is subject to The Name of Jesus Christ
17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.
If there is something that makes the devil and demons afraid, it is the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The demons tremble at the mere mention of the name of Christ.
41 And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.
They were terrified and had to confess it and obey it!!!
The devil knows all this, and he hates this Name which is above every name...
He hates the Name of Jesus.
Listen to me carefully, the devil hates the Name of Jesus Christ.

And it is for this reason, that for centuries and centuries, the devil has been doing everything possible to erase the name of Jesus from society.
The life of Jesus Christ is how we define our calendars, but in society, the devil has managed to erase his name.
He has erased his precious name from political discourse.
He has deleted his precious name from the news
He has deleted his precious name from the media
He has erased his precious Name from the entire society.
Example: You will commonly hear the name of Christ used as a curse word, but if you begin to speak about Christ to someone they will get very uncomfortable.
All this, is the work of the devil.
And the reality is that the devil has done a good job of erasing the Name of Christ from the minds of the lost.
But the devil was not happy with all this.
Because of his great hatred for the Name of Jesus Christ he wanted to commit the maximum possible blasphemy.
And sadly, he has achieved it.
The devil has managed to erase the mighty and precious Name of Jesus Christ…from the very book of Jesus Christ…the Word of God.
I believe this has been the devil's great achievement of blasphemy.
We are in Luke 4:41...and thank God in the KJV, and in every pure version of the Bible in every language, it says that the devil confessed…thou art the Christ.
This is what Christians have been reading from the traditional text of the Bible since the times of the apostles.
“thou art the Christ the Son of God”
But if you have another version of the Bible… it is very possible that it says something different...
41 Moreover, demons came out of many people, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Messiah.
41 And demons also came out of many, crying, “You are the Son of God!” But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.
41 And demons also came out from many, crying out, and saying, Thou art the Son of God. And rebuking them, he suffered them not to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.
What is missing?
The name of Christ is missing.
The confession of his name by the demons.
Why was this take out?
Brethren, it is because Satan hates this name.
Thank God that in our King James English-speaking Baptist churches, those that use the KJV, God’s people still read that the demon confessed that Jesus is the Christ.
But sadly brethren, for the majority of our Spanish speaking Independent Fundamental Baptist churches.
When these Spanish speaking brothers and sisters in Christ read this, they do not read the name of Christ.
Their Bible reads like the NIV, ESV, and ASV.

What happened to the Name of Christ?
What happened to the devil publicly confessing that Jesus was the Christ!!!!!!??????
It is in the Greek.
In the traditional Text that churches have always historically used the word appears there…
Luke 4:41 (Scrivener 1881)
41 Ἐξήρχετο δὲ καὶ δαιμόνια ἀπὸ πολλῶν, κράζοντα καὶ λέγοντα ὅτι Σὺ εἶ ὁ Χριστὸς ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ Θεοῦ. καὶ ἐπιτιμῶν οὐκ εἴα αὐτὰ λαλεῖν, ὅτι ᾔδεισαν τὸν Χριστὸν αὐτὸν εἶναι.
Why was the name of Christ deleted from the confession of the demon?
Why was this deleted in the Critical Text and in the Bibles that follow the Critical Text…
Because the devil hates the Name of Jesus Christ.
And He has succeeded in removing it from the minds and eyes of most of our Spanish speaking brethren.
Lets go to Ephesians 3.9
9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
Here we see the great truth that God made all things by Jesus Christ.
But in corrupted versions it doesn’t say that
9 and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.
9 and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things,
9 and to make all men see what is the dispensation of the mystery which for ages hath been hid in God who created all things;
For those that read corrupt English versions of the Bible, they do not read that God created all things by Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ has been erased from his own creation.
And tragically, for the majority of Spanish believers who read their Bibles today, even in IFB Spanish churches…they do not read that God created all things by Jesus Christ either.

What happened to the Name that is above all names?
Where is the mighty Name, exalted to the Highest, the Name of Jesus Christ?
¡It is not there!
It has been deleted.
But it is in Greek.
Ephesians 3:9 (Scrivener 1881)

In the traditional text of the Bible, used by churches since the time of the apostols, we see the Name of Jesus Christ.
But in the corrupt versions...the Name that is above all names.
The Name of the very Creator Himself has been erased.
Let me make something very clear, this is the work of the devil!

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
But in our corrupt English versions…
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
And for the majority of our Spanish brothers and sisters in our IFB churches they also do not read the gospel of Christ.

The devil wants to erase the name of Christ from the very gospel of Christ.
But what about the original Greek?
Its in the greek as well.
Romans 1:16 (Scrivener 1881)
16 οὐ γὰρ ἐπαισχύνομαι τὸ εὐαγγέλιον τοῦ Χριστοῦ· δύναμις γὰρ Θεοῦ ἐστιν εἰς σωτηρίαν παντὶ τῷ πιστεύοντι, Ἰουδαίῳ τε πρῶτον καὶ Ἕλληνι.
In the traditional text of the Bible that the churches have always used, they always read “the gospel of Christ.”
But in modern corrupt Critical Text Bibles…it has been erased.
This is the work of Satan himself.
Look at Mark 11:10
10 Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
The kingdom of God…comes in the Name of the Lord. Amen.
But in the corrupt Bibles, something is missing…
“Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!”
“Hosanna in the highest heaven!”
Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!”
10 Blessed is the kingdom that cometh, the kingdom of our father David: Hosanna in the highest.
The devil has erased the Name of Christ from his own kingdom.
The devil has been successful in removing the name of Christ from the Bibles of most Spanish churches including our Fundamental Independent Baptist churches!

Brothers, this is the work of the devil!
For 2000 years of history, Christians have been able to read in Mark 11 and see that the kingdom of God comes in the Name of the Lord!
But today in 2024, the vast majority of believers in the Hispanic world read this verse and the devil has erased the Name of the Lord from his own kingdom.
Brethren, isn't this a tragedy?
Is this not a great scandal!
Should this not bother us!
Should this not make us angry!
Lets look at another…
42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
Here we see something very doctrinal.
The thief on the cross was saved, and he had to recognize that Christ is Lord.
But the devil hates this.
He wants to distort this truth.
And he has managed to do it for millions of Christians.
The corrupt English Critical Text Bibles remove something…
Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”
And he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”
42 And he said, Jesus, remember me when thou comest in thy kingdom.
The devil does not want people to see that the thief, in order to be saved, had to recognize who Christ really was.
So he erased “Lord” from the confession of the thief on the cross.
The very confession that saved his soul.
The devil twisted it and left out a key part … “Lord”
This is the work of Satan himself.
He hates the name of Christ.
And for our Spanish speaking brethren in our churches…churches that were often times started by missionaries and pastors who use the KJV in English…they also do not recognize or understand that the thief on the cross called Jesus Lord.
42 Y dijo a Jesús: Acuérdate de mí cuando vengas en tu reino.

This truth, that the thief on the cross recognized who Christ was, has been known to the churches for 2000 years, and is today hidden from most Spanish brethren in our churches that our missionaries have started.
The devil has managed to erase the Name that is above every name in the Word of God.
This should make us fumingly angry at what the devil has done to so many of our Spanish speaking brethren!!!!
We see the same thing in Mark 9:24
24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
Again, the boy's father recognized that Jesus is Lord.
The Bible tells us this
Its not “unimportant information.”
Note: The doctrinal importance of this.
But the devil doesn't like it...
He hates the name of Christ
That's why he says in these corrupt versions...
Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!”
24 Straightway the father of the child cried out, and said, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
And for our Spanish speaking brethren, when they read their Bibles or hear the preaching at their church…they too do not have “Lord” in their Bibles.

Brothers, the devil hates the Name that is above every name.
Another…
26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
Who is the Son of God? Jesus is the Son of God.
But the devil hates this.
This is why it says in its corrupt versions.
When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.”
God, having raised up his servant, sent him to you first, to bless you by turning every one of you from your wickedness.”
26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Servant, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.
And in our Spanish IFB churches the devil has also removed the precious name of Jesus.

These versions are corrupted by Satan.
Because Christians have had for 2000 years what is the truth…his Son Jesus.
For the sake of time, I will stop here with the examples of Satan erasing the name of Jesus from the Bible.
But there are many other examples.
I could also show you the exact same removal of Christ’s name in Matthew 24.2, Luke 9:43, Acts 7:30, Acts 9:5, Acts 15:11, Acts 15:17, 1 Corinthians 9:1, 2 Corinthians 4:10, 2 Corinthians 5:18.
These are verses that in the RV1960 they erase the Name that is above all Name.
The most popular Spanish Bible by far being used in our Spanish Fundamental Baptist churches.
When one understands so much that the devil hates the name of Jesus, and the importance of the name of Jesus, it makes sense when we see the name of Jesus erased from corrupt Bibles.
The devil hates the name of Jesus, and it is because the name of Jesus has power over Him.
I want to encourage you to read this book “Not One Jot or Tittle.”
This book will explain the methods the devil has used to erase the name of Jesus from corrupt Bibles.

If you know the history of the Critical Text (which these Bibles follow) then you know that the devil was involved in this.
Example: The occult activities of Westcott and Hort
Westcott...and I have started a society for the investigation of ghosts and all supernatural appearances and effects, being all disposed to believe that such things really exist...Westcott is drawing up a schedule of questions...our own temporary name is the Ghostly Guild.[1]

The men who produced the Critical Text, Westcott and Hort, were literally consulting with demon spirits during the time they produced this new text of the Bible.
They even said they were worried that his would come out, and Christians would reject their work.
And 150 years later, in our Spanish Fundamental Baptist Churches, that we started ourselves in many cases, they are using their corrupt text, from the influence of Satan himself.
Pastors, Christians, this is why you should care about this issue.
Brethren, the Spanish Bible Issue is a matter of spiritual warfare with Satan.
This is spiritual warfare.
This fight has been going on for thousands of years.
But the problem is that this fight has been lost in our Spanish churches.
I want to take us to the application of this message and I'll finish.
Why should you care as an English speaker about the Spanish Bible?
You cannot read it.
It does not directly affect you.
So why should you care?
50% of the Western Hemisphere speaks Spanish.
An estimated 600 million people speak Spanish.
Many of them are your neighbors.
Many of them go to your churches.
Don’t you think that Christ desires them to have a Bible that does not delete His precious name?
Don’t you think that if the purity of the Bible is something that is greatly important to us in English, it should also be greatly important to us in other languages.
And especially the other language we have in our very own country.
Spoken by our very own neighbors?
14% of America speaks Spanish.
They need a Bible that has not been corrupted by the devil.
We desire to know every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God…we also should desire the same for our Spanish speaking brethren.
We cannot afford to be apathetic here.
18 And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.
19 Then said Hezekiah unto Isaiah, Good is the word of the Lord which thou hast spoken. And he said, Is it not good, if peace and truth be in my days?
Hezekiah could have cared less what happened to others because it didn’t affect him.
This selfish apathetic attitude sadly is present in our English churches as well because we have a pure Bible in English.
We cannot be apathetic any longer toward the Spanish Bible issue.
I love the Spanish speaking people.
I want them to have a Bible that is not adultered and twisted by the Critical Text.
There are American missionaries, who have a KJV and use the RV1960 who are okay with teaching your congregation that this version you use is a very good Bible...
They lie to American churches and tell them that the RV1960 and 1909 are very good Bibles.
When they know that in this version of the Bible...the devil has eliminated the Holy and Precious Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
I really don't understand it.
Example: When I preached my first RV1960 message on Daniel 3:25.
I was ashamed
I was greatly troubled.
And it was this experience that made me start to look for a pure Spanish Bible.
And that is how I got involved in the RVG Spanish Bible project.
But so many KJV using missionaries preach the same things from the RV1960.
And they don't say anything.
They don't complain
They don’t seem bothered by it.
They don't do anything.
Example: My conversation with a missionary a few weeks ago who told me that its a complicated issue.
Im sorry, but its not that complicated.
This version of the Bible has erased the Name of Jesus in many places.
And this version does not.
It is faithful to the Traditional and original Text that God gave us.
Despite what some will tell you, this is not that complex of an issue.
A child can understand this.
But many pastors and missionaries do not.
If you are one of these missionaries or pastors defending these corruptions in these popular Spanish Bibles…shame on you.
You are being complicit in this horrible deception of Satan to remove the Name above all names from the very Word of God.
We need to remember something very important….
How many martyrs have given their lives for this book and for the Name of Jesus Christ?
For 2000 years Christians have been dying for the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
And now there is no one forcing us to use these corrupt versions that have erased the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.
They have erased the Name that is above every name.
And we can't just stand there and say...no, I'm going to use the RVG and not the RV1960, because I don't want to use Bibles that erase the Name of my Lord.
No one has a gun to our heads forcing us to print, purchase, and support these corrupt Spanish versions.
Churches and missionaries are doing it willingly.
I understand a lot of people are ignorant on this issue…that is why I’m here teaching this topic.
But when we are no longer ignorant of this issue...and you know that your preferred version is part of this great scandal of Satan...you are becoming complicit and even a participent in this great scandal.
Don’t be complicit with Satan in this great blasphemy against the name of Christ and His word.
Instead of being complicit in Satan's blasphemy of erasing the Name of Christ from the Bible, may we be like the apostles.
26 Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Brethren, The Name of Jesus Christ is too precious, too powerful, and too glorious to erase from the Spanish Bible.
Let us be like the Apostles, willing to give even our own lives defending the Holy and Exalted Name of Jesus Christ.
For it is the Name that is Above All Names.
