Logos Subscription Review

Hi Scott Rowe here. I have been an ordained pastor for over ten years and during that time have used Logos Bible Software. It has helped me tremendously in my personal devotional life, bibles studies, and sermon prep

Now as some of you have already heard or maybe you have not. Logos Bible Software is moving to a subscription based model. This has caused some fear and panic from many who first heard this.

Will I be able to keep my books?

Will I still be able to access everything I have in the past?

Yes you will! You won’t lose any features, books or investments that you have made in logos

Why is Logos doing this?

The world is evolving fast. So in order for logos to keep up with all the changes in the world this is the best route logos can go. Now customers won’t have to wait years to get updates and new features. Now we can get updates right away instead of having to wait!

Also, with the integration of Artificial intellegence or Ai. It allows Logos to include that with the subscription model because with Ai features and the ongoing costs it would have.

Smart Search

Smart search is a new feature on the Subscription based model that uses Logos in an innovative way using your personal logos bible software.

Think about when you search something on google or bing and you type in a question. You usually get all kinds of different answers. You can waste hours just going through the different pages and links you are given.

Now Smart search is exactly what it says. It’s a Smart Search.

Let me demonstrate this for you here.

Let’s say you want to do a search for “Who is the Holy Spirit”?

You will see the smart synopsis come up using Ai. This does a smart search of several books on the question you typed in and gives you a overview of what it found so you can filter through it.

Summarize

You can also Summerize most of the searches that come up.

Resource Toolbar

There is also a resource toolbar that is similar to something found in microsoft word. You have a home tab, a search tab, a notes tab, a formatting tab, view tab, tools tab, and a share tab

Sermon Assistant

Another feature is the sermon assistant which uses A-i. This works as a sermonette but it doesn’t write your sermon for you, as it shouldn’t but it gives you prompts to help you.

You type in the passage you want and then hit generate.

Bible Study Builder

Another feature is Bible study builder. This is for those who lead small groups, sunday school or discipleship classes

Let me show you how this works too.

You bring up the bible study builder. You type in your scripture reference and it would bring up questions here on the left for you that are already in your library.

You can click the arrow and that will add it and then you can type in your own notes under each question.
