God's covenant people, and by itself it should not be applied to other nations or to the church. However, this verses reflect God's gracious nature, fundamental principle-thought any person, can come to the Lord with a repentant heart and find forgiveness (see Acts 2:21 “21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13 “13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” 1 Corinthians 1:2 “2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:”
The application is of the instructions

Ephesians 4:1–4 (KJV (WS))
1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, 2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; 3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
Ephesians 6:18 (KJV (WS))
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Colossians 3:1–3 (KJV (WS))
1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Revelation 3:19 KJV (WS)

1 John 1:9 (KJV (WS))

Mark 9:28–29 KJV (WS)

John 10:25–28 KJV (WS)
25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. 26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
