His own son tried to kill him
2. We have our own problems today that may cause us to worry

1. (V1) Do not fret because of evildoers

a) Fret “The words ‘do not fret’ literally mean ‘do not get heated,’ which is also how we might express it. Or we might say, ‘Don’t get all worked up.’ Or even, ‘Be cool.’”
To fret is to worry, to have the heart-burn, to fume, to become vexed.
“Faith cures fretting.
Jesus said do not worry, if God clothes the grass on the field, how much more will he take care of you?
Matthew 6:31–32 ““Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
b) Don’t be envious of people who do wrong
