Hosea 5:15
I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.
People have a spare tire God.
They only pray when there is a blow out.
They only pray when they experience slackness.
They only see him when it is convenient.
Here are the PHASES of God walking off:
I. God’s Decision. v.15a

We no longer have the manifest presence of God.
We no longer experience God.
II. God’s Direction. v.15b

till they acknowledge their offence,
God turns away from sins.
We must recognize what we did.

Phrase “seek my face” occurs twice (here and 2 Chronicles 7:14)
God Almighty is waiting on you!

God will return!
We see Him return in the forgiveness provided by Christ. (1 John 1:9)
We see Him return in the presence of the Holy Ghost. (“I will never leave thee nor forsake thee” Hebrews 13:5)
