Today, I want us to take a moment this “Day After The Election” and step back and be reminded of a few things. Now, I record my podcast typically, the day before it is released so as I am recording this I do not know who has been elected president here in America. Both political sides have made the claim that if the other is elected our country is doomed to never recover or be the same. And so some degree that is likely the case no matter how you look at it. Listen everyone has their opinion on the topic of politics, but I am not doing this study to focus on politics. No, I’m doing this let every faithful child of God and those that are seeking a return to God to know that it doesn’t matter who is president of the United States of America because our Creator is greater than all of humanity combined. I want to read off several passages as a reminder that no matter who president the day after election day the faithful will put there trust “at all times” in their Creator.
Psalm 62:8 NKJV
8 Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah
Proverbs 3:5 NKJV
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
Psalm 5:11 NKJV
11 But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You.
Isaiah 50:10 NKJV
10 “Who among you fears the Lord? Who obeys the voice of His Servant? Who walks in darkness And has no light? Let him trust in the name of the Lord And rely upon his God.
Isaiah 26:4 ESV
4 Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.
Psalm 40:4 NKJV
4 Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust, And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
Luke 12:24 NKJV
24 Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?
1 Timothy 6:17 NKJV
17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.
So no matter who the president of the United States of America is, let us not put our trust in that one or any person for that matter, but rather put our trust “at all times” in our God who cares for us, and has demonstrated at every turn in mankind’s history his love for us.
