SEASONS and SUDDENLY’S
Daniel 2:20 “Daniel said, “Let the name of God be blessed forever and ever, For wisdom and power belong to Him.”
Daniel 2:21 ““It is He who changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men And knowledge to men of understanding.”
I. SEASONS will be ENCOUNTERED in our life!
Daniel 2:21 “It is He who changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men And knowledge to men of understanding.”
What is a Biblical SEASON? A Biblical season is a change in the spiritual atmosphere that results in spiritually dry or spiritually wet periods of time.
We have PERSONAL seasons in our life.
We have CORPORATE seasons in our life.
As you probably know, WATER in the Bible is often a picture or type of refreshing from the Holy Spirit, or the life sustaining Presence of God flowing through you!
2 Kings 3:17 “For thus says the Lord, ‘You shall not see wind nor shall you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, so that you shall drink . . . .”
John 7:37 “Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.”
John 7:38 “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’ ”
We will have Personal seasons and we will have corporate seasons, sometimes we will be spiritually dry but when we get thirsty, we have access to the Rivers of living water!
When God is ready to change our SEASON, He often changes our season SUDDENLY!
II. SUDDENLY’S will be EXPERIENCED in our life!
Isaiah 43:19 “Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.”
God delights in giving us a promise, but we often experience a delay after we receive the promise. This is often the beginning of a dry season.
There are also times we are prompted by the Holy Spirit to make a prophetic decree and we have a promise from God that what we decree will be fulfilled.
Job 22:28 “You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; And light will shine on your ways.”
However, seasons will come and seasons will go and we still do not see the promise fulfilled or the decree established, but don’t grow weary in your well-doing, you will reap in due season, but it will often manifest SUDDENLY!
What is a Biblical Suddenly? A Biblical Suddenly is something that you have BELIEVED for; PRAYED for; WAITED for; DECLARED for; and or DECREED for and it does not happen in the SEASON you thought it would happen, but then SUDDENLY it occurs!
When our REVELATION and DESPERATION meet the FULLNESS of TIME, it results the atmosphere in or around you changing.
Our Dry season becomes a Wet season, and we Experience God in a NEW, SUPERNATURAL way SUDDENLY! Whenever this happens, it often looks something like this:
A. God will APPEAR to you SUDDENLY!
Judges 13:3 “Then the angel of the Lord appeared to the woman . . . ”
B. God will SPEAK to your CONDITION!
Judges 13:3 “Then the angel of the Lord appeared to the woman and said to her, “Behold now, you are barren and have borne no children . . .”
C. God will PROPHESY into your BREAKTHROUGH!
Judges 13:3 “ . . . Behold now, you are barren and have borne no children, BUT you shall conceive and give birth to a son.”
How should we respond when God Appears to us Suddenly, Speaks to our Condition and or Prophesy’s into our Breakthrough?
1 Thessalonians 5:19 “Do not quench the Spirit;”
1 Thessalonians 5:20 “do not despise prophetic utterances.”
1 Thessalonians 5:21 “But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good;”
How do we make it through our SEASONS so that we make to our next SUDDENLY?
Hebrews 10:35 “Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.”
Hebrews 10:36 “For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.”
When the REVELATION we have received and our DESPERATION for it to be fulfilled meets the FULLNESS of God’s TIME . . .
It will result in the atmosphere changing and dry seasons will transition into wet seasons and we will experience God in new, supernatural ways!
